This is really sad news, the good ones go way to early. This is how he signed off one email below, sums up what kind of man he was. I had a few very uplifting conversations with John this winter, when I really needed an emotional lift. His positive attitude and encouragement were just the ticket. He never let on he was not well. He will be missed. My condolences to his family.
