Nipfisher Posted July 19, 2011 Report Posted July 19, 2011 Way to go Jen. Wayne and Leah, you two (and the rest of the family), deserve alot of the credit for Jen's success and resiliance. You have created a warrior and she is an inspiration to all of us. Hands down my "feel good" story of 2011.
irishfield Posted July 19, 2011 Author Report Posted July 19, 2011 Out of bed and up to the walker without assistance this morning, then to the hall and back. Staff has her billed as the new poster child for Sarcoma recovery. They've never ever seen this recovery charge before... They still have to get her onto crutches and able to hop stairs before she can be discharged, but she's well on her way. Told it will be a few months before she's allowed to put ANY weight on the right leg as the area the pelvic bone was removed from needs to scar in and simulate a socket for her leg. Thanks for letting me ramble... it keeps me stable, well almost!
