  7. I didn't see to much wrong with the article, written by someone who makes his living fishing. There are plenty of fishing related things we can do without endangering anyones health, take me for instance. ..last week i changed the line on all 34 of my reels 3 times, rewired my boat twice and sharpened the hooks on all 9342 of my crankbaits.

  9. I have a pressure washer that pulses and was told the pump seals are not functioning causing pressure drops. If it’s a new unit, I’d try returning it for another or borrowing one from someone that knows theirs works. I’m not convinced it’s a water pressure issue from your supply.

  10. At this point I don't believe a word that comes from the WHO. They have screwed the pooch at every opportunity with their "recomendations" And our leaders have followed their suggestions as gospel putting people at risk in the process. All along they have been parroting WHO talking points and not acting in the interests of Canadians. Thankfully they seem to have grown backbones and actually done what was needed to help keep Canadians safe, although in my opinion they were 2 weeks late on all of their decisions because of it. I saw a video showing how far a sneeze or cough can travel in a grocery store. It was quite a bit more than 6 feet. I wear a mask and gloves whenever I go into any store and use hand sanitizer all the time. The one good thing is out Premier here in the NWT closed down our borders to non-NWT people except for truckers and essential traffic as well as closing non-essential businesses, banning gatherings etc. Because of this we have only had 5 cases of the 19 all related to travel. All 5 have recovered so we now have ZERO active cases here.

  15. If you have a current subscription on the Navionics Boating App on your mobile devices, make sure that you update the app and check out the latest feature on the app! You now have a multiple chart-overlay option with the Navionics Satellite Overlay with SonarChart Shading. No additional cost involved here. This feature was previously only available on the Navionics Platinum+ & HotMaps Platinum cards. There are not a lot of Canadian Lakes available yet but I'm told that they're coming but all of our neighbours from down south have lots of options. Check out the details here - https://bit.ly/2KafK15

  16. Not quite true. His wife had covid 19, two weeks later she was considered recovered however everyone that had been in contact with her should have been quarantined for two more weeks. However she and the kids went to the cottage, he properly self quarantined for two weeks, the children should have as well but they traveled with their mother to their cottage while we were being told "no unnecessary travel". I have been in self quarantine for 5 weeks now, I haven't seen my family in over three months, so based on your logic there shouldn't be anything wrong with me visiting my OWN FAMILY. So 20 minutes or so is alright, well it's only 3 1/2 hours to my kids place, I would be in the car by myself, so is there a time limit to No unnecessary travel? He hadn't been in contact with them for three weeks. It's the double standard I have the issue with, lead by example otherwise it's a dictatorship, everyone should follow the rules except me!

  17. Well on the fence too but please don’t get too close. I see some reasoning to let people who are working to not have to line up. After all they have things to do. For the rest of us the line ups might be the biggest thing they do all day and the only time during the day they aren’t on their asses

  20. I made oatmeal cookies today. It's the 2nd attempt at baking cookies in my entire life. They turned out well. All I had to do is measure 2.25 cups of the premixed dry and added 1/4 cup of water. I added some crushed up cashews to the mix, I didn't burn them and turned out pretty good I'm told. I don't eat cookies, never have even as a kid. Try quitting smoking in the hopefully "middle" of this Global Pandemic we all face.

  23. A lot of that white bread should be called "wonder bread", wonder what they use to make that junk. It's a rare moment that I use a while bun to hold a hamburger, most of the time it's 2 slabs of real rye bread. Rudolfs, not Dimpelmeiers.

  34. Well I moved here to have access to the lake year round now the municipal has taken that away from me. Guess a property tax refund is in order too

  35. No they are not. It is only a recommendation not a law same way they didn’t stop hunting or fishing they just made access very hard So they don’t have to refund Licence prices

  37. Pumping operators who remove the crude oil from the ground are trying to keep pumping just to keep their operations going. Costs $ to shut down wells and lay workers off. By dropping to the point of paying processors to buy their crude the producers are hoping to tempt buyers to favor buying from them rather than their competition. But when it gets processed, shipped out, taxed, sold at a gas station there is lots of $ added to the price. You can bet that prices will be 'price fixed' to ensure profits at your gas station. Gov't won't ever step in to affect prices due to the huge tax revenue received by the provinces and the feds. MHO.

I have a tree that I had planned to take down this spring but there’s a squirrel’s nest in it. No idea if they’re using it but would hate to drop it and find what you found.

  50. In my yard once the spring mud dries up a bit. Luckily I’ve got the rare gentle sand beach shoreline on Georgia bay! Heck if the water wasn’t so high itd be super easy. Might need to use a couple of sheets of plywood just to keep the tractor from sinking too much!
