DanD Posted Friday at 05:20 AM Report Posted Friday at 05:20 AM I agree 100% that snow tires should be mandatory; but (imo) so should annual or by-annual safety inspections. It won't happen here though; there isn't anyone in our government that is willing to commit political suicide trying to pass such a law. I'm retired now but I worked the automotive trade as a licensed tech for 48 years. You wouldn't believe the unsafe vehicles out there; I mean vehicles driving beside, behind or coming towards you. Who knows how well that vehicle has been maintained. It would be so easy to implement; get a safety inspection or don't bother going in for your next year's license sticker. Ho yeah. Have your snow tires taken off or put on while you are at the garage. LOL Dan. I 3

I never mind winter tires, how many people are running on belted slicks or better yet...driving essentially without brakes. 1

Anyone knowingly driving with faulty brakes show have their license taken away. When it comes to the safety of yourself, your passengers and the lives of other drivers there is no choice.
