I just got word that a very dear friend and a true legend our friend Norm aka "Beans" has moved on to the great fishing grounds. For those that had the opportunity to meet him or fish with him I know the memories will live on forever in our hearts. At the moment, no service is planned, but if that changes I will post details here. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family, IĀ  know he will be very much missed šŸ™ šŸ˜¢Ā

If anyone cares to post a story or memory it would be really nice!

I got the news earlier today and yes, it was sad to hear. Norm was a fun guy to be around and he'll be missed by a bunch.

Norm on your extreme left.

Sad indeed. My condolences to his family and his many friends.

A quick search in my photo archives found me this picture of Norm at one of the "Fishing for Tyler" events.

First thing I saw this morning "Deg" sent me an email. Don and Norm stayed in touch. Norm was a good guy and a positive contributor to this site for many years. God speed and God bless Norm and his family

Just seeing this now. I have so many fishing memories Ā of time spent with Beansie. Crappie fishing in Bobcaygeon, carp fishing in Caygeon and Peterborough. Perch fishing in my boat on Simcoe every fall.Ā

Norm was a good man who was always positive and funny and a joy to spent time fishing with. He will be missed by many.

I will always treasure the memory of fishing with him off of Big Cliff's place. He gave me some very good counsel when I was going through a particularly bad time in my life.Ā

The story has been shared on this site more than once.Ā

Norm was a great man and he will be missed. I only fished with him once and it was a good time with laughter and fish.Ā

Prayers to guide you home my friendĀ

So sorry to hear of Norms passing. I've spoken to Norm via messaging from here. He was a long time Angler on Rice Lake. His son had a trailer down at Sandercocks Camp. We hooked up 1 day and to my surprise, we have met in the past. Ironically, fishing on Rice Lake. We shared a lot of the same fishing holes that we figured "no one else would know".Ā  It was an honour knowing that gentleman.
