irishfield Posted May 17, 2020 Report Posted May 17, 2020 (edited) I know it's $880 for organizing a gathering of more than 5 people. My old car club buddies got nailed for it two Saturdays ago, for gathering at Walmart to go for a cruise with a dozen cars. Nobody even got out of their cars.. but they "gathered" at Walmart via social media posts. So call your friends if you want to go for a cruise.. yet they have no issues with these Birthday and appreciation drive bys! Edited May 17, 2020 by irishfield 1
Woodsman Posted May 18, 2020 Report Posted May 18, 2020 irishfield don't get me going on these appreciation drive byes. Police, fire & ambulances are in them. I'd much rather have them doing their appointed jobs. Yes a double standard. 1

This thing is very confusing, like the boat launches being open, not all are open. I have a pass at 50 Pt. it's a conservation park with a boat launch and marina, you can go in walk around and socialize but the boat launch is blocked off till June, go figure??😡😢 Maybe it's the different police person, some maybe more lenient than others.😏 Do I want to take a chance getting fined? Like said above, it maybe illegal getting ticketed but going to court to fight it is ????😏 I guess I'm a wimp or say chicken crap...... but $880.00 is nicer in MY pocket than theirs😃 OH, I did go fishing on Erie Sat. for 10 hours Walleye fishing. didn't get a tap, nada fish, not even a snag, but MAN!! did it feel good to get the leash off👍

Garnet Posted May 18, 2020 Author Report Posted May 18, 2020 The dumass but it on social media. A few text couple emails ,maybe even a phone call get the same thing done. 1
BillM Posted May 18, 2020 Report Posted May 18, 2020 Wayne, I'd be happy to buy you a few wobbly pops for that one, lol! 1

By that standard more than 5 cars stopped at a traffic light is illegal. We met with family at Bass L PP on Sat.We were 7 incl kids but maintained the proper dist. Maybe that was illegal?? I suggested that if any authorities came along we would pretend we didn't know each other. 1
Garnet Posted May 20, 2020 Author Report Posted May 20, 2020 (edited) It was on social media so FB . And somebody reported it . If it was text emails or that old stand by a phone call it would be just a bunch of cars ended up at Wal Mart. I would still fight the charge, these type of things will clog court and likely be all thrown out. Edited May 20, 2020 by Garnet
Terry Posted May 20, 2020 Report Posted May 20, 2020 (edited) I don’t get it they can organize a 100 car cruise to drive by a hospital and that’s fine but a car club doing the same thing, just driving by something else is illegal Edited May 20, 2020 by Terry 5 1 2
Old Ironmaker Posted May 21, 2020 Report Posted May 21, 2020 (edited) Double standards rules the day. On a tour of a Ford plant today in Michigan guess who was the only person that refused to wear a mask? Edited May 21, 2020 by Old Ironmaker 1

fish_fishburn Posted May 26, 2020 Report Posted May 26, 2020 They should call it what it really is Socialist distancing. Saw a lady in her car, alone wearing a mask and visor. All I could do was laugh.

fish_fishburn Posted May 26, 2020 Report Posted May 26, 2020 It all seems so Orwellian to me. Were all going to die someday, so when or how really doesn't matter. CBC on top of things announced today that 190000 people from around the world have flown into Canada since Mar 11. Only 75 days late CBC. And this outfit cost the taxpayers 30,000000.00 a week. Sheesh. I shouldn't of been so hard on the lady driving her car alone with the mask and visor on she was probably on her way to see her shrink.

LostAnotherOne Posted May 29, 2020 Report Posted May 29, 2020 80 year old guy today called me out for not wearing a mask while waiting in line to get into BPS. God bless him.
Terry Posted May 29, 2020 Report Posted May 29, 2020 Good for him i called a out an employee of store I was in the lineup to pay. Everyone was keeping their distance. Then a women who was working there comes right beside everyone touching some and not wearing a mask so I told her to stop and not come near me , she said she has to get to the cash register I said if you need to get by me wear a mask. She said I was wearing a mask so she didn’t need to. I took out my phone snapped a photo and told her I would call the police if she came any closer She turned and walked away 2
pikehunter Posted June 3, 2020 Report Posted June 3, 2020 Quote So your saying it doesn't mater how many people can go with you in the boat fishing. I'm just going by what has been said. Fines that have been given out are fake news? Myself, if the rules are not followed the municipality will board things up again. Yep, you got it Dave. Just simply follow the directions. 👍

By causing a confrontation rather than letting her walk by you significantly increased your risk of potential exposure as her unmasked mouth could have been spraying you with infected saliva as she spoke. By "saving yourself" you actually put yourself in a worse position than if you had said nothing. Just sayin...
