  1. It's howling here too, started late last night, so it may last awhile?
  2. https://www.minnkotamotors.com/support/faqs/can-i-use-lithium-ion-batteries-my-minn-kota-trolling-motor I don't see a date on that, so changes unknown?
  3. My " go to " lure had a habit of changing when I needed it most. Down sizing worked at times, a simple color change or action and depth change. 1/8th to 1/4 ounce hair jig can be magic at times.
  4. Brian, you're using a 8 - 10 size hook for stealth reasons? Hard for me to tell by the eggs pictures, but will they handle a size 6 hook? They are drifting under a float, it may not hurt to try? might keep them hooked better?
  5. My boat my buddy's truck, he lives 2 houses from me and has had boats and trailers for decades. He hooked up my boat and we drove to Chautauqua Lake in New York for a tournament, driving to the ramp on the lake a deer ran across the road and when he hit the brakes the trailer jumped the ball and hit his plate. It's like 160 - 170 miles from here, so lucky? I am assuming he just didn't seat it right on the ball, I had a trailer jack on the front of mine, hook it up and crank the jack up and it shouldn't come loose. Spray some lithium grease on the locking mechanism to keep things working smoothly.
  6. https://www.etrailer.com/question-96080.html https://www.etrailer.com/t1-2012_Dodge_Grand+Caravan.htm Top link gives an explanation on why the module - converter is there, seems to me I had a vehicle that used one.
  7. https://www.curtmfg.com/part/56331 https://www.draw-tite.com/product/119178_taillight-converter The bigger black object is the module? I am assuming it is your problem, on the Curt one the only review indicates a short lifespan? I don't see how power goes into it, but if it's working properly power should be coming out properly?

  10. If you buy something with PayPal and don't get what you paid for they step in and? or? refund your money. I might wonder about sending a check to Ontario from California for a big purchase from a private seller? Not sure what to tell you, both parties need protection?
  11. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timiskaming_District Just from that I would assume organized?
  12. Quantum reels are a newer brand in the overall picture of fishing reels, Abu and Shimano have been around a lot longer. The early Quantum reels didn't have that great of a reputation for lasting here and Abu and Shimano were the buyers choice. Ford vs Chevy?

  14. As far as I know you have a choice of lead, brass, tungsten, but finding them in your area may be an issue? Lead, being the softest gives you the least feel, and the the price goes up with the others? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001419435315.html?spm=a2g0o.search0304.0.0.1e0f729b8XP7B4&algo_pvid=a8b1a1c6-79a0-47de-bbb2-d2e5fca40040&algo_exp_id=a8b1a1c6-79a0-47de-bbb2-d2e5fca40040-21
  15. After watching a couple of the Elite series tournaments, Lake Champlain and the St. Lawrence, some of those flies on a drop shot look better than this? https://outkasttackle.com/feider-fly-2pk/ l
  16. I think a 3500 lb axle should be more than enough for that boat motor and trailer.
  17. I was doing that one day pre-fishing for a tournament at a lake in New York, heard a funny sound and smell, one of the spade connectors on my foot control had melted in half. No fuse or breaker, luckily I had parts with me to fix it.
  18. Hack, with a marine engine you normally have an unlimited source of cool water for cooling, Years ago a lot of the short haul tractors I drove were gas engines, like a 460 cubic inch in Fords and a 440 cubic inch in Dodges. There were differences in the number of cooling passages in the block and heads because the truck engines operated under a heavier load, even though they probably had a bigger radiator too.
  19. https://dctrollingmotor.com/a-guide-to-circuit-breakers-for-your-electric-trolling-motors/ 50 amp may be the way to go?
  20. Hack, I believe the basic engines were the same, just adapted for marine use. Marine engines don't usually have to deal with the dust and dirt a car engine does.
