Wow, we are never going to get safe ice on Simcoe this year... darn

All the lakes north of it are getting hammered with fisherman this year for sure.

Haven't sledded yet or ice fished yet. Not liking this winter so far. East Ontario lakes are frozen with a foot of ice but no snow to get out there.

Sucks

Had to bust out the snowblower in Nov, thought it was a bad omen, but only a few dustings since then 👍. Think late Nov was colder than the past weeks since Christmas, maybe  spring is just around the corner. They are harvesting the Icewine I see on the news this morning.

jeez the boys at bear point are in for a long winter. I think Callum Johnson just opened a bait shop too...Ouch

I guess thats the way of the game, its feast or famine for those operators.

How about send to Lake Simcoe.  At that temp the heater won't work.

55 F here in Grimsby when I let the dogs out at 7AM, must be a record.

Not quite that warm here, 9c/49F around 9:30.  Took a quick drive to Barrie and on the way back it dropped like a rock down to 4C.  I'm surprised after the crazy amount of rain there's no standing water anywhere, the ground can't be frozen yet.

Temps are falling fast---down to 0 here in Wasaga by 3 pm. It looks like the ice further North will be OK by Mon or Tue(never "safe", of course---all the precautions apply)

I,ll bet the river is flowing well and the trout are swimming up happy happy. LOL
