manitoubass2 Posted July 12, 2015 Report Posted July 12, 2015 If I had to choose one it would be a rapala countdown minnow in the minnow pattern
Roy Posted July 12, 2015 Report Posted July 12, 2015 800 series ReefRunner. There's nothing better...so far.
Joeytier Posted July 12, 2015 Report Posted July 12, 2015 My no.1 is a size 9 Husky Jerk in gold/black, number 2 is a perch wally diver.
Acountdeleted Posted July 12, 2015 Report Posted July 12, 2015 Either Rebel/Live Target/Big-O crayfish colour. Run it along the weedlines or bounce the nose off of rocks.
bow slayer Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 (edited) for northern lakes a rapala j-7 or j-9 in black/gold or charteuse,,,,lake erie reefrunner 800 series,or ripstick in orange crush, kryptonite, purple demon or rapala taildancers in blues and greens. Edited July 13, 2015 by bowslayer
captpierre Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 This year none of them working well on Pigeon Lake. Previous years ReefRunner, Shadrap, Walleye Diver.
206 Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 X rap .....this spring i had good success with a live target perch.
dave524 Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 (edited) Old school but I get quite a few on a good old jointed Canadian Wiggler. that or a firetiger Hot n Tot Edited July 13, 2015 by dave524
mike rousseau Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 Casting? Trolling? Dirty water? Clear water? Target depth? Fishing structure or open water? I like the 20 foot taildancers but recently have been doing well with deep thundersticks...
OhioFisherman Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 For a long time on this side of Lake Erie? all you needed was a storm wiggle wart or hot n tot, chrome and black or gold and black.

I like the 20 foot taildancers but recently have been doing well with deep thundersticks... Thats why I picked what I picked lol. It will work in all those conditions, but certainly not my favorite crank
Beavertail Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 (edited) For my style of fishing, Shad Rap for me...perch or chartreuse. Edited July 13, 2015 by Beavertail
musky666 Posted July 13, 2015 Report Posted July 13, 2015 Second on Shad Raps, but where I target 'Eyes- can't beat a husky Jerk, or Smithwick Rogue trolled over rock humps at night- any colour really but I like the glow purple or chartreuse HJ's, Smithwicks hook better...
fishdawg Posted July 14, 2015 Report Posted July 14, 2015 I like the various Live Target smelt baits.
joeybacala Posted July 14, 2015 Report Posted July 14, 2015 That's an incredible variety. I'm heading out to Rice lake this weekend and luckily for me I have most of what has been mentioned already. What about any favourites for Rice this time of year? And what about methods, does one method out perform another?

What about any favourites for Rice this time of year? And what about methods, does one method out perform another? Glow frog taildancer, white big O, but if you want eyes, troll some worm harnesses along the weed edges. Its been kinda slow on rice lately, but the fish are there. S.
SirCranksalot Posted July 15, 2015 Report Posted July 15, 2015 When in doubt use a Big O----cray or white.
