Wayne a very effective way of getting attention is to organize as many people and pick a certain day in the future and have a tweetstorm...which means to inundate Ellens Twitter account with the same hashtag something like this " @TheEllenShow #inspirationofdetermination is what you get when you meet #JenOshea and learn of her #victoryovercancer This #amazingstory "

you can attach her videos and pics if you choose which will draw attention to the show producers and Ellen to do more research on Jen...could even throw in a link to this site to see how it has affected Jens family and the support they have received from total strangers (such as myself) ....

For the record ..i have tweeted that little eg to Ellen so use those hashtags and if everyone uses them ...they will "trend" and the rest of the world that follows Ellen will get her story as well...hence creating more people to push for Jen to be on the show....this method has successfully forced politicians to address issues so i cant see why it couldnt be used for something actually worthwhile....

Happy belated Birthday Jen...ive been busy to keep up to date on your progress....keep on kicking it!!!! like no one else can!!!!!

Now im up to date !

"trend" is a term for going twitter viral and seems to catch on much easier world wide

Well Jennifer is now famous around the world (currently at 1,005,700 views and climbing on her "leg trick" video) and has even been interviewed via phone from the Sydney Australia Morning Herald... the UK times.. Huffington Post in Toronto and others. She has a handler and licencing agreements in place to be on some TV shows as well. She was supposed to be on Breakfast Television in Toronto last week and that's the good news.......

The bad news....... she had to cancel that for now as Jen had a few seizures on Tuesday. Some just her right arm flinching and hand clinching uncontrolled to the point she put her fingernails thru her hand....and a few Grand Mals as well. We got the call up North, at camp, at 7pm Tuesday night and were in Toronto by 2am to join Jen and her Girlfriends at St. Michaels Hospital. CT.. MRI and many other tests done within a couple of hours. Helps that she has her Neuro's cell phone number! On Thursday she had surgery to remove about a 4cm tumour from her brain, directly below where the skull tumour was and it was putting pressure on her motary area of her brain that runs her R arm and hand (that currently aren't working but slowly coming back on line). This tumour grew in exactly 4 months. They removed it as best they could without carving into her brain, but "roots" have been left behind. Being the bugger Ewing's is it will regrow again just like picking mushrooms from a log. Radiation consultation on Monday coming at Sunnybrook and she goes from there. Discharged today and we are home...

Just to add misery to the equation.. my truck was hit by a drunk driver (female) last night while parked outside her apartment and caught on fire. Had to beg a ride home for the three of us this afternoon and now also have to deal with the loss of my truck in the midst of needing to get her here and there, as well as me needing to get North and look after a bunch of stuff we left precariously on Tuesday night.

Wayne, who cares about the truck, it can be replaced. Jen can't buddy. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys. I was told cancer is a journey in life for both the person going through it and the family from the get go. Your family's journey continues with a bunch of twists and turns. Stay strong and Jen will get through it. Let me know if you guys need a lift or anything. I'm off till August so a drive up to Penetang will be kinda nice to beat the boredom.

My heart sunk a little when I read the last update Wayne. Sending my best wishes :)

Sunnybrook has been like a 2nd home for me the last couple of years and if you need any help finding your way around let me know :)

Jen's all set up for the latest state of the art high intensity localized (within 0.5mm of target)radiation starting Wednesday, for 5 days. Tuesday she had a new MRI and Wednesday between 9am and 10:55 she saw 3 doctors and 3 specialists without leaving the room we were in (should always happen that way!)... and had her final consult... overview... contrast CT and a plastic mesh moulded over her head and shoulders that will clip her to the table in place. The definitely not so great news... the MRI shows what we expected, that the "removed" brain tumour has already started growing again in only 26 days...as well as she has a new skull tumour forward of the original one at the hair line / forehead and if that isn't enough she also has a small one at the back by her neck. They're going to hit them all each day with radiation and we're waiting to find out on Tuesday if there is any chemo she's allowed from here out. Scary part is her MRI from 28 days previous didn't show these two new tumours at all.
