  2. If I see you Wayne, on the water or any were else I'm going to give you a hug, i hope you don't mind? You and your wife are the measuring sticks of what parenting is and should be. I've read every friggin page of this thread and I'm torn up inside, I've shared your highs and lows and Jen always had her family by her side. I'm confident she knows that and will always have that wherever she is. I'm no author but think about putting this experience to paper it will help a ton of people going through the same thing. Walking through this journey with you via this platform (Ofc)has made me a better parent using you as a model and I thank you and your beautiful family for that! I'm not a religious man but I'm not so ignorant as to not recognise this life isn't the be all and end all,you stuck by her side and you best believe she will return the favour! Fitting you're a pilot my friend.... Chin up you are better than most!!!

  5. You owe him, he difinitly did you a solid by gutting it out and letting you bail on him at the hospitol! I think a 24 of Stella is in order....
  6. Theres a guy on Trafalgar rd in oakville that worked for omc for 20+ years i use often he's the exception to the rule! Im sure some of the fine folks on the board have used him too! He know his stuff and his prices are top notch!
  7. its sad theres some many dogs out there that need a good home its mind boggling.... Good on ya for taking the plunge....
  8. for lamps to be sold in stores they have to be ETLCm,csa, ulc....etc.... but anything less then 400lumens is a very low output light.... What you need to pay attention to is the efficacy of the lamp which is the lumens per what of consumption....! generally a 5 watt descent led witll be appx 400 lumens, thats a pretty god general purpose lamp. You should be able to get something of that lumens output for appx$8-10 each! keep in mind the 43 pack lamps are usually sold like that ause they are of lower quality thus to sweaten the pot they sell them in packs at an aggressive price to move as much p[roduct as possible because they already have the next gen lamp with the same consumption but with 10-20% more light ouptput that they want to push so "out with the old and in twith the new"!
  9. Well Said... To be honest Lew Im sure this was the case for you and Marvin, and there are a hell of alot of great pooches out there that can use that affection maybe one day you will find it in your heart to give another one a try? Sounds like were you call home may be a great backdrop for another 4 legged friend once the heart heals a touch....
  10. You gents have your heaters mixed up.... Big buddy $133 vs normal buddy heater $91, http://www.princessauto.com/pal/Radiant/4000-to-9000-BTU-Portable-Buddy-Heater/8270720.p http://www.princessauto.com/pal/Radiant/4000-to-18000-BTU-Big-Buddy-Heater/8172462.p
  11. walkers .... Canadian made and bullit proof the chrome looks slickk too plus a small footprint!
  12. monthly fees are a turn off for everyone!
  13. The man is a lure artist let me tell you. Ome of his jigs we use for walley pike and bass mimics a minnow to a T.... We tip it with a minnow and they blend together seamlessly. No joke I caught a total of 50+ pike, bass and walleye in the kawarthas on just one jig befor i got broken off by a huge pike...Friggin floro leader failed, but he tied me 5 more identical jigs look at his facebok page to see that jig and a few other beauties!
  14. So my bro and his lady went out on Sunday to Georgina to try out his new line of glow jigs/flies (he ties his own). Lets just make it short and sweet they killed it! He ties trolling flies for downrigging and bucktails for multispecies. I can vouch for how effective his lures are and how durable/realistic they are, yeah I know this sounds like an infomercial but he deserves some credit. Like him on facebook: Custom Fishing Tackle by James Schembri https://www.facebook.com/CustomFishingTackleByJamesSchembri Here are some of the lures that did the damage from the weekend 14' of water jigging on bottom and 4-6" off bottom. couple of bruisers from the day out... green glow grub tipped with a naked and tipped with a shiner both proved effective. some other smaller glow flies. lake trout killer, looks like friggin candy and it gets bit believe me! heading out this weekend for some more action, stay safe out there!
  15. alot of people like the crisp white/blueish tinge of the col white for soffit applications but to each his own! I just put 35 par 20 leds in my brother in laws soffits and he wanted warm white and to tell the truth i thought it looks better than thecool white!
  16. Halogen (6-8000hrs till failure)-(LED 30,000hrs till it reaches 70% original light output) 5 watts vs 50 watts, once you consider the cost of electricity going up 20-30% over the next 2-3 years LED's really start to make sense. Not to mention comercial grade leds only use the best components ie. Cree and Samsung chips. I can see where you are coming from with the price point you mentioned for the halogens! dont forget the cooling load you save in summer also, that many halogens give off a ton of heat!
  17. If you're interested im a lighting supplier i have access to cmmercial grade leds. I can get par 20's in 25degree or 40 degree in either warm white ot cool white for $19 a lamp (rated for 30,000hrs). 5watt 350 lumens... last lamps you'll probably ever need keep in mind led lifespan is not when they fail but when the lumens depreciate to 70% of its original lumens.. For a fellow ofner $19 no tax....
  18. great show just like infisherman was back inthe day. If you font like the religious portion just change the channel. Nothing wron with religion as long as we dont appress people for not sharing the same belief, to each his/her own!
  19. Stop whining and start fishing!
  20. Its nice to see a refreshing post that is full of good vibes! Cheers to the lot of ya. Now if I can find someone to help me build a cottage on a tight budget ill be all set, lol.....
  21. Friggin eh buddy, Friggin eh!!!! He's the man! lot of the "elder" members of this fine Board are cut out of the same mold as this guy, it seems like the generations that followed not all but quite a few especially the youth of today put their own needs ahead of everyone else. Thankfully there's still a lot of the good ones left... The work he does is of ridiculous quality and he is meticulous, at a more then fair price what more can you ask for?
  22. Well many of you may or may not be aware, I purchased lake front property a couple of years ago, so ive been hurting to do some work on it but finances have been tight, since lakefront property aint exactly cheap! Thus, it was just a pipe dream, cue Ron Depatie code name Skip... He reached out to me via pm and said sometimes you shouldn't let money separate you from your goals. He said he would help me clear what would later be a 12'x300' driveway and a pretty damn big building site level and the works for a dollar amount a poor young dummy such as myself could afford! Let me be the first to say they dont make them like him anymore, putting a young families dreams before personal gain... Ron thanks Buddy! Anyways did i mention this guy uses an excavator better then i use my left hand, and i'm friggin left handed! To keep in budget he camped out in his camper which was roughing it to say the least. he even fed him self via the assorted gamefish my lake has to offer. In 3, 12 hour plus days he transformed my bush lot into a recreational dream with a stunning sand shoreline with granite breakwall all harvested from the property including something he did for my kids which was a 15' sand, rock free entry point to the water... If that wasn't enough for my miniscule investment he moved at least a half dozen evergreen trees to provide shelter from the neighbors across the bay. Even though he went well beyond what was required of him for the dollar amount I paid he never complained anytime i requested a change or additional work... Once again what a guy! and now for the pics.... the beginning of the madness... Skip working the Excavator Bro after a long day...... Rons piece de resistance a lil entry for the kidies... sandy beachfront Ron perfecting the shoreline.... view from the future building site... we have about a lifetime supply of fire wood... I strongly suggest you google Ron or just pm Skipper D... Once again Ron im indepted to you for what you've done buddy we will be in touch again real soon.. Jason out.....
  23. http://www.citymarinetoronto.com/ speak with Dave, Tell him Jason sent you, they will treat you very fair...
