Fang Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Rob, Temagami is a special lake that takes a special drink. For me it's 24 of Miller MGD and for playing cards at night it's a bottle of Yukon Jack stuck in the snow bank. email is on its way, enjoy your self up there and be safe.
walleyemaster Posted January 19, 2009 Author Report Posted January 19, 2009 thank you very much fang...maybe we could share one of those MGD's one day...
Ron Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 (edited) Can't beat a Seizure with a natural ice sickle off the roof top for a swizzle. If Ice sickles aren't available, you can always spud some cubes up off the lake. Second choice is a fishermans Coffee - 4 oz coffee, 2 oz Baileys, 2 oz Jack Daniels. Silver Bullets - Tequila and Peppermint Schnapps There's a story behind each one of them there drinks. Edited January 19, 2009 by Ron
kemper Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 In the boat? Ice cold can of coke...not sure why because I dont actually drink much coke but on the water its great. Thats in between water bottles of course, I have a habit of drinking 6-8 bottles of water a day. On the shore at night waitin for the wallies to take the bait an ice cold moosehead/creemore springs/pabst (only if im broke). I've been known to have a pint while on the river as well...as long as Im not drivin of course
Sinker Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 I don't drink when I'm fishing......too busy catching fish. When I do drink, I'll take a double gibsons finest with diet 7up please........LOTS of ice. Sinker
douG Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Wow. This whole thread makes me thirsty. The only time I ever have a rum and coke is when I'm fishing. I need to fish more often.
Rich Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 I don't know how you guys can pause long enough from fishing to mix a drink! lol
Zubris21 Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 I'd have to say coffee for the early mornings, black coffee of course, the only way to take it. Then move on to water or iced tea later on in the afternoon. Back on shore its onto the brews and maybe a couple Caesars.
OhioFisherman Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Easy for me, tournament rules no alcohol in the boat, everyone I knew took it seriously. Most of the time a long drive home after a day on the lake, so it wasn`t a good plan after the tournie. Places we went to for a two day might a beer or two back at camp in the evening but you wanted to be sharp for the next day. Boat to me is like a car or truck, don`t have it in them, not in the boat. Fish give me a buzz!
lew Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 I'm nearly always on the water at least an hour before sunrise, so a large thermos of coffee & cream gets me going in the morning. I also carry a 1 gallon insulated jug with water and if it's gonna be an all day trip, there's usually a couple cans of COKE on ice too.
Moosebunk Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Hot chocolate and Baileys... COLD Scotch... SEMI COLD Moosehead or other... WARM Gatorade... HOT
highdrifter Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Rockstar energy drink, for strong hook sets and the one hundred meter dash!! I've also been known to sip on a little rye.. HD
Drew_10 Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Just lots of Tim Horton's coffee in the morning for me, like some of the other guys I usually don't take the time to drink in between casts. Ice fishing is a different story though.
gdelongchamp Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Very cold died sprite for me and very very cold beer bact at the campsite. Any kind of cold, cold beer.
CLofchik Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 I'm not much of a beer drinker at home, but love Molson Dry on camping trips. Then there's my curious breakfast concoction that I mixed up one spring trip just to finish everything off. Equal parts red wine, rum & Tang. I called it a "Magnetewan Sunrise"
Kirk Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 (edited) summer: Timmies for starters, then cool beer on ice, plus pop and water ice fishing: we really drink: vodka, crown royal, ouzo and white wine + mixers ALSO: lots of good ideas on this thread...its been a while since a thread has been worthy of printing off and laminating for reference. Edited January 19, 2009 by Kirk
bassmaster4 Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 since im not of age yet id have to say a nice cold root beer
Rattletrap2 Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 douG, You mean to tell me that ain't appo juice in that jug???? LOL
ctdd2006 Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Beer! OV preferred! Usually red wine or Moody Blue ice fishing!
Jigger Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Water on the water. BEER on the pier! 'Cept in the morning when two fingers of Irish make their way into the coffee. I might have a few out on the ice if I'm in a heated hut and don't have to drive. Then its probably rye. Maybe beer.
steverowbotham Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 In the winter, a thermos of hot chocolate. ... sometimes a bit of Kahlua In the summer, 3 bottles of water and 2 red bulls.
