  1. Just took this home tonight Needs a bit of TLC, but I can handle that. 150 Efi pushing it with a 9.9 mercury 4 stroke kicker, walker riggers, and more dirt and dust than I've seen in a long time.

  3. So the Mrs and I just purchased a re-sale home in Gooderham close to where the 507 and 503 meet up. I cannot wait to explore the fishing out there! I guess I now need more toys like an ATV, a tractor for snow removal as it's a 1.17 acres in size lot wise. And I may need to get a boat (again). Really not looking at getting a Ski-Doo but time will tell. At least the 507 and 503 are fun roads to travel on when on the motorcycles and I have a family room window view of the 503... I look forward to the next/new adventures out there!

  4. Finally splurged on something better than my Fuji CrappyCam. Read good reviews on the Canon EOS M50 MkII, so I picked one up. Then got a Sigma 18-300mm to go along with it, it's made for a full-frame Canon but and adapter makes it fit. Going at this slowly and gently to reduce the amount of swearing, so haven't taken a lot of pictures yet. 10 days camping in Algonquin afforded some measure of practise, and I'm pleased with the set-up, any screwups are probably mine alone.

  7. Amazon.ca has a similar one, https://www.amazon.ca/Quality-Mark-28801-Bow-Step/dp/B007D2N212?th=1&psc=1 seems like all the rest are south of the border. Bass Pro.com also has some, maybe they will ship up here to the store.

  11. Dirt and dust are easily taken care of. Good for you for being able to get into the market even during this economy/market. I’ve spent the last 7 months cleaning up my new to me boat as well. Of course she’s thrown a few curveballs at me already, batteries, winch strap, a trolling motor rewire, but that’s part of what makes you feel like the boat is yours. I remember the first time I saw my boat vs what it’s like now, a little TLC and now my boat turns heads as I drive down the highway! the shape/layout of this boat looks really intriguing, almost west coast meets bass boat. Care to share some pics of the interior when you get err vacuumed and scrubbed out. a recommendation after reading into it for a while, simple green extra strength (the purple stuff) and a scrub brush makes any boat interior look new. If you have carpet at all scrub on a diagonal and it brings old carpet totally back to life.

  12. The hypocrisy of it is they wizz and moan and want you to come to their towns and cities to support their businesses, but that rate is nuts.

  13. The Americans get it...they realize that anglers and boaters bring lots of money into the local economy...restaurants, accommodations, supplies, etc. The incoming revenue offsets the cost of maintaining the launch and parking. In Canada, the first instinct of our small minded municipal politicians is fees and taxes on everything. Here in Oakville, nevermind charging for launching, they have banned fishing from many of the piers. It's pathetic that you can't take your kids down to the waterfront to dunk a worm for a couple of hours. Another piece of Canadian culture taken away by the soccer moms that run town council. Penny wise, pound foolish.

  15. Because Americans were prohibited from crossing the border die to the Vid we were offered the American plan at par. As great as the service was at the lodge. If I do make it out there again I'd hit another lodge that offers housekeeping only due to the fact you can come and go as you please to maximize time on the water.

  16. Well, it took Thursday morning to pack the moving truck BUT due to a delay in getting the key's we had to advise them that we aren't going to be in on time and we weill meet them at the new property on Friday moring. We planned for this and in turn it costs us less due to travel time. Those that I have as friends here on FB watched the gong show unfold from Thursday eveing (as I got here at 4pm when we took ownership at 1pm). HOWEVER the prior owners were here still when I got here and scrambeling to pack! They were so far from prepaired to say the least! So I slept on a small pad, a sleeping bag for more padding and got up for 6:30 to ensure they came back and picked up the rotten out, broken down truck and camper. At leaset they showed... Our movers got here at 9am and the games began. Man this house is a lot smaller than the last! L0L Since, I tested positive of Friday for covid and my wife did this evening. So unpacking has been slowed. BUT we thought we were going to be screwed for milk and fresh food over the course of this move but thank God for parents! My mother who is 30 min. away asked for a shopping list and is going to get it for us and no talk door drop it for us now that we are stuck here for another 5 days for me. Worst part when it comes to a fishing report to this is that I don't have a single trout lure here to wander over to a river, creek back lack to during all this! ARRGGGHH! I do enjoy the quiet, the dark and everyting that isn't Lindsay even despite all the issues going on. Anyone want to door drop some rainbow and brookie lures to help a guy out, HA! I can NOT wait to discover the fishing and share.

  20. Yeah, there was a family that owned a thousand acre plot around the cottage.. some were nice😅.. we really didn't have to worry about thieves because they kept them away.. of course we never left anything out near the road because it would grow legs and end up at their main farm down the highway...

  21. Lindsay is BAD for the ``dark walkers`` or `crack heads`(folks going door to door in the night) checking car`s and more nightly. I know the new area may have it`s issues BUT far from the drug abused section Lindsay has turned into.

  43. Great pics. Barred Owls are cool. Looking for saw-whets at eye level is a great approach but the last one I saw a couple of weeks ago was about 30 feet up a conifer. It was only found because someone heard a woodpecker alarm call and went to investigate.

  45. Hey Guys I have brought in some of the Sea Foam engine treatment. I will let it go for $7.99 for OFC members. No need to wait for it to go on sale. Its not a regular item for me, but it can be if the sales are there. Same goes for other flavours of sea foam, if there is a demand, i'll bring it in. Just let my guys at the counter know your an OFC member and they will over ride the price.
