Locnar Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 Spent the weekend up on the north end of Pigeon Lake, and for the most part the fishing was a little slow this year. A few bass were caught, all around 1lb... even the panfish were slow fishing. After the rain had stopped on Monday morning, I decided we'd try trolling for walleye... as the water was choppy, the skies were gloomy. After only 15-20 minutes, fish on! First muskie landed, not a monster... A little shy of 3ft. Definitely made my weekend.
Fisherpete Posted August 5, 2015 Report Posted August 5, 2015 Nice looking ski - clean and dark green. Congrats!

Weeds Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 Nice looking first musky without a doubt! I'd go so far as to say chunky even. Well done. Only question is wether you caught that fish or it caught you? Cause once you get hooked, look out!

Rizzo Posted August 7, 2015 Report Posted August 7, 2015 Beauty! I have the opposite happen to me...incidental walleye when musky fishing
grimsbylander Posted August 8, 2015 Report Posted August 8, 2015 I like the colours on that fish, good job!!
mistyriver1 Posted August 11, 2015 Report Posted August 11, 2015 Nice going ! Be careful they are very addictive. ; )
Locnar Posted August 11, 2015 Author Report Posted August 11, 2015 Hahaha, highly addictive eh? I just need myself a boat first, then I can start trying to target them regularly. Man the fight difference between a muskie and a pike are quite astounding.
