Picked the wrong stand Sat evening

Buddy made the right call and was rewarded with this beast. Took it about 10 mins after sunset, he knew it was coming (Heard it come through the swamp and into the hardwoods) but it was a race between the deer showing up first or darkness.... It's funny though, he told me if it was still light out that he probably wouldn't have taken the shot as he's seen deer quite a bit bigger then this on the property. Personally, if it's got spikes I'm taking it down :) What a gorgeous animal, fattest deer I've ever seen as well. This thing was an absolute piggy!

I'll be back at it next weekend, let's hope my luck turns!

I had to wait to get home to see the picture. HOLLY CRAP

Look how thick that front quarter is. That could feed a family for a year alone.LOL

Congrats to your bud, bud.

Now for you to get yours.

Buddy must of really been sweating it out, as his camo makeup is all smeared on his face. LMAO

That's a very nice Big Buck!!! Haha. Close to 200lbs?? There is quite a bit of meat there. Don't sweat it Bill, you'll get a nice one. Keep putting the time in.

My buddy guesses that deer went probably 220 or so. I'm not too worried, I just need to put more time in the stand. I'm still kicking myself for not taking that spot though! lol!
