irishfield Posted April 16, 2020 Report Posted April 16, 2020 Everything "public" is cancelled from now 'till NEXT Fall. No concerts, no fishing tourneys, no car shows.. even Moparfest has already cancelled this years event in Kitchener. 1
Old Ironmaker Posted April 16, 2020 Report Posted April 16, 2020 And I thought I was going to see a thread telling of someone's death. Tragedy is a word to describe something a bit more serious than cancelling a fishing derby. Even those that are going to lose big money that the event generates I would say it is sad but tragic it is not. 4

Weeds Posted April 17, 2020 Report Posted April 17, 2020 Hey Iron, not sure what you’re doing above me there. Grimsby was just saying there is no mention of tragic, or tragedy. Pretty sure you’ve got it figured out at this point. This is supposed to be a friendly post. But I thought I should clarify, Just on the off chance That your dementia is acting up, rather than your dyslexia....you know I’m ribbing ya. Love your posts.
grimsbylander Posted April 17, 2020 Report Posted April 17, 2020 I think we need an intervention. 🤣 1 2
Old Ironmaker Posted April 20, 2020 Report Posted April 20, 2020 I see the word "casualty" and read the word "tragic". It's not easy being me sometimes guys. Nor is it easy being the partner of my wife. Just task him. I'm sore she will have an answer for your. 1

I do however not forsee the large gathering restriction being lifted for perhaps a year or maybe even more. Depending on the size of your bass club, I think this may be a bit of a pipe dream. if the weigh in involves a crowd of over 50 people, not much hope! Ive personally given up hope on any chance of fishing tournaments this year. Im simply continuing to pray that i will be able to launch my boat and fish bass at all! LeXXington Posted April 21, 2020 Report Posted April 21, 2020 When they state that its COV-19. I don't think its all about the virus. There is a large shortfall of sponsors for a number of events or sponsors backing out.
kreighoff Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 A wise old electrician at work use to tell me of a Dyslectic Agnostic man who was never really sure there was a dog. Moparfest come on man! Just have them bring the B bodied cars they are all 18 ft long. 1
