tb4me Posted October 5, 2017 Report Posted October 5, 2017 Great game so far tonight..Anderson has been amazing.. Leo's visor penalty.. I also think Fehr is a beast on the PK.. very impressed so far....
Acountdeleted Posted October 5, 2017 Report Posted October 5, 2017 Holy cow. Someone sparked a fire under the boys tonight.
leaf4 Posted October 5, 2017 Report Posted October 5, 2017 What a WINNNNNN! Too bad they spoiled Freddie's shutout... Guy was amazing tonight!
scuro2 Posted October 5, 2017 Report Posted October 5, 2017 That was a tight game at first...and then I was sort of busy so couldn't sense the flow of the game...and then it looked like shooting ducks in a barrel. I started feeling sorry for WInnipeg.
manitoubass2 Posted October 5, 2017 Report Posted October 5, 2017 Well most of our young bucks made it on the scoreboard game 1. Great stuff
BassMan11 Posted October 5, 2017 Report Posted October 5, 2017 A great way to start the season. Matthews and Marleau put up 3 points a piece and Freddie looks solid between the pipes. Our powerplay looks deadly. On another note..... here in Ottawa it looks like even with removing 1500 SEATS the Sens currently are not tracking to sell out their home opener tonight against Washington. Sounds about right.
BillM Posted October 5, 2017 Report Posted October 5, 2017 Great game, besides the 5000 penalties they decided to take, lol.
DRIFTER_016 Posted October 5, 2017 Author Report Posted October 5, 2017 Great game, besides the 5000 penalties they decided to take, lol. At least they killed them all off.
BillM Posted October 5, 2017 Report Posted October 5, 2017 Freddy deserves credit for that. If he didn't play good, the score would have been a lot different.
kickingfrog Posted October 6, 2017 Report Posted October 6, 2017 http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/senators-still-struggling-ticket-sales-season-opens/ Hundreds of tickets available minutes before puck drop on home opener... and 1500 plus covered by tarps.

Ottawa doesn't deserve a team...give it to Halifax! They would adore a NHL team.
chris.brock Posted October 6, 2017 Report Posted October 6, 2017 (edited) Ottawa doesn't deserve a team...give it to Halifax! They would adore a NHL team. NO! They can salvage the franchise, they just need more wrong word tarps! MORE TARPS! hahhahaha Edited October 6, 2017 by chris.brock
Acountdeleted Posted October 6, 2017 Report Posted October 6, 2017 Team gets to game 7 of the eastern conference final, then starts their series against last year's presidents trophy winner, covers up 1500 seats and still can't sell out the arena. What an embarrassment.

What an embarrassment. It's a mystery! Maybe if they draw smiling faces on the tarps?? Or wait!...Leafs logos! Have a ceremony and bring someone to center ice that was at the last Ottawa Stanley Cup win. There must be someone in Ottawa that remembers the last time they won the cup?? It's only been 90 freaking pathetic years!!!!!! Interesting fact here...the Captain of the 1967 Stanley Cup Champions, George Armstrong, was born 3 years AFTER Ottawa last saw a cup win!!!!! History will repeat itself as always...Ottawa sucks and they'll lose their franchise again. Read some interesting stuff on the 1927 - 1934 Ottawa Senators: "Ottawa had been by far the smallest market in the NHL even before American teams began playing in 1924" "Despite winning the Stanley Cup, the Senators were already in financial trouble" " Senators finished with the worst record in the league in the two seasons that followed" " Attendance was poor, the club only drawing well when the league's other three Canadian teams came to town" LOL Had to laugh what I read this!!!! So NOTHING has changed in Ottawa in almost 100 years!! Pack it up boys...you're going to a REAL city soon!!

manitoubass2 Posted October 6, 2017 Report Posted October 6, 2017 Move the club to kenora Ontario lol The thistles are more exciting than the sens
Acountdeleted Posted October 6, 2017 Report Posted October 6, 2017 Las Vegas is icing 9 defensemen this game. Not sure I understand this strategy.
grimsbylander Posted October 7, 2017 Report Posted October 7, 2017 I don't believe your name was mentioned.
DRIFTER_016 Posted October 7, 2017 Author Report Posted October 7, 2017 MMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!! Filled with a creamy hope and optimism filling!!!
DRIFTER_016 Posted October 7, 2017 Author Report Posted October 7, 2017 Well that was unexpected. Vegas just won their opening game.
LostAnotherOne Posted October 7, 2017 Report Posted October 7, 2017 (edited) Go Vegas Go lol. Im thinking maybe after all these years cursing Burke for trading the Leafs picks was a good thing. Things work in mysterious ways. Edited October 7, 2017 by LostAnotherOne
