LOL, same here, i don't think we got 12 inches of snow total all winter, most of it came down as rain! My son said most of the area ponds never got much more than sheet ice on them and it's all gone. Big Cliff Posted March 10, 2016 Report Share Posted March 10, 2016 No flooding on Sturgeon Lake and looking at the forecast for the next two weeks, I don't expect there will be any. Ice conditions; well there is still some fool out in the middle of the lake with a portable hut and he has been there the last two days, I'm not brave enough to take a walk out there to see how he is doing. We are supposed to get quite a bit of rain but without the ice dams that cause the Grand to flood lowlands I can't see the problem. I remember a few years back Dunnville had so much flooding because of the mouth of the river dammed up with ice that the old cemetery was under 4 feet of water.
