Roy Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 A short report from last night on the Larry. I was out for 2 hours or so...5PM till 7. I got 6 for 6 then wrapped her up. The walleyes are on the feed. Smallest was 26" Took them all on a down deep husky jerk (blue and gold) 4' behind a 2 ounce bottom bouncer. Surface temp was 61F. Was running 1.8 to 2.2 mph. upstream. Here's a pic of the one I brought home. (26")

solopaddler Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 They seemed to be all the same size Mike but I think the largest was 32". That's gotta be at least 10lb's maybe more, that's amazing!
TJQ Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 Thats great... someone will have to bring dinner to lakair...
Daplumma Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 Nice fish Roy,I have caught a couple of good sized Walleyes on the large deep down Husky but never thought about trolling one with a bottom bouncer. Joe
Roy Posted June 10, 2007 Author Report Posted June 10, 2007 They won't go down deep enough consistently Joe, so the bottom bouncer keeps the bait in the strike zone. I'm only trolling 50' or so behind the boat.
Smokey Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 Nice fish Roy, Congrats. Nice to see your getting out on the water and catching some nice fish. Thanks for the report.
Spiel Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 ....Good stuff Roy. Glad to see you getting your angling fix in before Lakair....*wink, wink*

Deano Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 I have to admit also, first thing I thought when I saw the pic was, smile, you're not Lew. Great outing Roy, that would sure put a smile on my face.

TennesseeGuy Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 All those big fish in only two hours on the water? Must belong to the fishermen's union. Fish two hours and get paid a week of fish.
