Steve Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 I know it is a long ways away yet, but if we get a high draft pick, and select Jesse Puljujarvi, we could have an exciting team!!! Kasperi Kapanen, Jesse Puljujarvi, and Leo Komarov from the Finns and of course William Nylander, a Canadian / Swede. Jesse is a huge young man, who loves to throw his weight around, while still scoring....similar to Leo, but likely better. Kasperi has high hopes, but my fingers are crossed for him....better than Philly K though.
Roy Posted October 18, 2015 Report Posted October 18, 2015 I know it is a long ways away yet, but if we get a high draft pick, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
ehg Posted October 19, 2015 Report Posted October 19, 2015 Good to be Monteal born and raised by Canadiens fans. Forty yrs. in Toronto, but still a habs fan for good reason. HaHa
Roy Posted October 19, 2015 Report Posted October 19, 2015 Should be interesting against the Blues tomorrow. Two decent teams.
ehg Posted October 21, 2015 Report Posted October 21, 2015 Should be interesting against the Blues tomorrow. Two decent teams. So Montreal won vs. Blues. Now 7 wins 0 losses. Best team in NHL currently. Good Stuff!
Steve Posted October 21, 2015 Report Posted October 21, 2015 I still stand by what I said. We have some great talent in our minors. Best in 20 years. Add a couple more high draft picks and we'll be a top team....Marner, Nylander, Kapanen, Bracco, and Brown.... Well done Leafs.
muddler Posted October 21, 2015 Report Posted October 21, 2015 That's what the other 29 other teams are doing too. It is the culture if the team that has to change, I've said it here for years. Babcock is doing that successfully so far. The consistent work ethics is what was always lacking in Toronto. This season I already see a much different attitude on the ice. The Laffs Leafs are a team worth watching and cheering for so far. Looking good Taranta!
DRIFTER_016 Posted October 22, 2015 Report Posted October 22, 2015 The Buds sure are more fun to watch this year.
tb4me Posted October 22, 2015 Report Posted October 22, 2015 Good game boys! JVR lol its the roofs fault eh...
Steve Posted October 22, 2015 Report Posted October 22, 2015 some rough shoot out attempts, but we ruled on the 3 on 3.
John Bacon Posted October 22, 2015 Report Posted October 22, 2015 That's what the other 29 other teams are doing too. Not all of them. Some have traded draft choices to Toronto.
blaque Posted October 22, 2015 Report Posted October 22, 2015 some rough shoot out attempts, but we ruled on the 3 on 3. You sure did, my sabres looked like a monkey humping a hockey puck out there. It was like nobody told them that they changed the OT format to 3 on 3. Awkward lol
leaf4 Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 I think penguins will be making a coaching change this season, sooner than later. With the star power on this team how are they scoring this little? I've been watching any games of theirs I can catch and it seems the system doesn't play to the strengths they have
DRIFTER_016 Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 With the star power on this team how are they scoring this little? UHHHHHH, Kessel is there now!!!
DRIFTER_016 Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 Pens fans are starting to sound like last years Leafs fans.
AKRISONER Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 lol #blamekessel lmao...systems, coaching and perhaps the chemistry has gone stale. This is the NHL, other teams adapt, when you see the same system/lineup for so long things just go meh, theres not much spark and the system gets solved by other coaches. Coaching change and things will pick up.
netminder Posted October 23, 2015 Report Posted October 23, 2015 ugh... systems. Next to the oversized goaltenders, coaching has done more to ruin this game than anything else.
Oggie Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 Really???? have you watched some of the games from the 70's when teams weren't coached? The level of play today is much more exciting. The problem occurs when players refuse to buy into the system.
Steve Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 The game is just different. The 80's were exciting, so was the 90's - especially the early 90's. The 2000's got a little boring, but I've found the last four to five years things have been entertaining again. Can't wait for the game tonight.Marlies won 8-2 last night....
grizzlybri Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 Oh yea hockey started, I was to wrapped up with the Blue Jays Won't it be funny if the Leafs end the Habs streak tonight
manitoubass2 Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 Oh yea hockey started, I was to wrapped up with the Blue Jays Won't it be funny if the Leafs end the Habs streak tonight Id say it probable.
Roy Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 Looks as though the Habs have 9 straight now.
