Lucky Linda Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 Depression...serious illness. Very very sad to have the whole world see you as such a star and not be able to beat depression. Such a brilliant actor and comedian. My favourite was Mrs.Doubtfire but remember watching Mork and Mindy and loved his stand up on golf. May he rest in peace.
bushart Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 This is very sad It somewhat reminds me of when John Lennon was taken unexpectedly ....the very best in the world at what they do....and then gone in a blink

DanD Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 For me I think Patch Adams was one of his best roles. Dan.
bigugli Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 Dead Poets Society completely changed the way I looked at Robin. "Oh Captain! My Captain!"
Old Ironmaker Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 The saying " Money can't buy you happiness " comes to mind. His stand up when he explains Golf is the best I ever saw. " How many times do you have to do this?" 18 F'n times!!!!!!!!
BillM Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 I loved his performance in Good Will Hunting.. One of the best! He'll be missed.

spincast Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 he was one of the funniest, most talented of a generation, and its unlikely we will see someone with his range of talents again. Thanks for the laughs Robin and may you find peace at last.
Fisherpete Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 Very sad, I grew up watching his movies and his stand up was second to none. A brilliant mind coupled with charisma and wit. It was mentioned today on the news that he was beginning to suffer from the early stages of Parkinsons.

Will miss him as well, quite the talented guy for sure!
Pigeontroller Posted August 17, 2014 Report Posted August 17, 2014 I was away last week vacationing in Allegany State Park when I heard, thought at first it was a joke!? I can't believe how sad this makes me, I feel like I lost a friend...Though I've never met the man I've been a fan since childhood watching M&M...The world will be a lessor place now that Robin is no longer with us!
