Winter Storm Update?

Imagine that, snow in Dec, Jan. The stores must have had an over stock off snow removal stuff and called the media to announce BIG Panic THE SKY IS FALLING . Woke up this morning to see 2 Feet and all I see is green grass . I hope it snows like that all winter.

Two big lightning/thunder here amidst all the snow. I was shovelling the drive but that one lightning bolt was too close for comfort. My driveway is only halfway done.

Left Hamilton at 7:30 this morning, rainy and slushy roads. Travelled up HWY 6 towards Guelph and rain turned to snow. 9am here in Kitchener is snowy, wet and sloppy. Drive carefully Crew!

here in the sault its bit of a blizzard. we got around a foot of snow and its just a blowing out there right now. the radio says the school buses arent going out today. i got the day off with pay might pull out of the sled hahaha!

Sorry, the storm has moved in pretty good here in Lindsay, not more than 30mins after i typed out my forcast.

It's all good here in Yellowknife!!! We only got a trace of snow last night.

The bad comes tonight as the temp dips down to -41 with highs over the next couple of days in the -34 to -36 range!!!

All coupled with 20 to 25 kmh winds for some nasty windchills in the -50 to -60 range!!!!!

On the bright side we're makin' some ice!!!!!!!

got off today boss phoned me this mornning cancelled he job .

last year we got stuck in the first storm like this one.

Here in Burlington we had abut 2+ inches of snow. Had a house fire near me on Dundas which has horse stables in it. Made for a hetic morning for the people following Dundas. hehe

We got about 6" of very wet snow.. drifts around trucks and buildings are/were over 1.5 feet. Took 2 hours to plow that crap vs the usual 45 minutes... but I found my snowshoes!! lol

 

Temp has jumped to 3C... making things SLICK. Now clouding over for part two... supposed to get as much as 35 cm here tonight and tomorrow. Guess I should go work on moving my wood pile in while I still can!

Its now pooring rain here. What a mess. We've got about 6-8" of wet, nasty stuff on the ground. I wish I had of covered my boat. It took longer to clear it out, than it did the driveway!! She's ready to go for the morning though!

Well, we goy our 8" of blowing snow overnight and most of the day. Went to the mall with the wife tonight and all but a few side streets (mine) are plowed. It looks quite nice. Supposed to get another 8 the next day or so. Temp is a comfy -6 so no worry about rain. Looks like winter is settling in nicely. Another log on the fire and I'm set for the night.

 

Oh yeah..son was just finishing shoveling as I pulled into the driveway after work...seems he couldn't get the blower to start..thats in the shop thawing now.
