Well if we're going to get stupid.. a friend of a friend of a friend of mine told me that they've never heard my 275 HP Merc Verado run! The best boat.. what ever one you're in with a fishing rod in your hand! Motor... GM/ Ford / Dodge... they all build a lemon. 10 FULL seasons in the water now with my Lund (6 months IN the water, not on a trailer).. as I missed one when Jen was sick.. and it has yet to leak a drop. Many that have fished with me know that I definitely don't baby it, especially in November / December out for Musky as we regularly ride or bust through 6 to 10 footers on GBay and generally wash the floor over the 54" bow doing so! Pick the one you like and go with it. Don't buy a Legend....

100's of employees are flown into Area 51 daily to work... decades later and not one has spoke out as to what they really do there. Just food for thought...

Sad anyway you cut it ! Condolences to the families. I'll add a caution here.. as I suspect most will read this thread... that if anyone is considering Lake Temagami for ice fishing Whities, before Lakers open on Feb 15th think again!!! We had a VERY experienced lake resident wash his sled today that lives on an island just North of Bear Island. He has decades of experience, knows where the lake freezes and doesn't. He had already travelled his packed trail for the past week, yet went through this morning. There is only 1" of ice in the majority of the Hub area of the lake. Bear Island has a sled only trail in place, but even it is questionable.

All I can say, with a complete aerial video of a wide open Lake Simcoe available yesterday from my buddy, you're not going to be on Lady Simcoe for at least a month looking at the 14 day forecast of nothing I'd call cold.

Not even worth the effort to try and repair them, even the garages just throw the assembly away now and put on a complete new "loaded" backing plate, turn your drums and away you go. Well Dave.. we all know you go for the comradery and not the quantity of fish... that's proven for sure this year! A couple of GREAT fish there... lots of fish tales, stories and whiskey I bet at night. Can't beat it any day of the week if going to work! Can't beat a 3 day outing with a great group of friends... well I guess you could if you went for 5 or 10 !
