  1. Make sure you keep the deer and turkey yard free of ice Lew, dont want anyone getting hurt
  2. Nice replica, that walleye goal will be the hardest to beat, the 30 Musky and 6 pound bass should be easier, get the toughest over first
  3. Thats my fall go to as well, right at dusk and well into dusk, better when the harvest moon is on as well, and if you staying at Elmhirst you are right in the vicinity of great late fall walleyes, as I launch right out of Keene
  4. awesome its been on my bucket list for over 40 years and still is, way to go champ congradulations
  5. a bowl lake not very long or wide, poor choice for boat racing, longer lakes ie Chemong would be better IMO, lots of recreational activity on the lake ie yaks, canoes and stand up paddle boards, plus a fountain in the middle, and a fire works platform slightly south of the fountain, plus the odd drunk and Fentanyl user who also think they can swim, and suddenly appear in the water as well, usually by the art gallery, watch out for the occasional dead Musky as well caught by anglers who dont work and cant afford release tools or proper musky gear,
  6. know Stoney well, will I give up its Walleye Bass and Muskies spots not likely, fished it for 40 years, unless you own a liquor store or better still a medicinal dispensery your on your own, my lips are sealed I will say for Walleyes fish deep, 30 to 50 feet
  7. use to do that 30 years ago in a 14 ft sportspal canoe, with 2 J400s off each side, with a old Garcia flasher in the middle, a 2 hp Johnson on the back and a 12 volt trolling motor on the front as a backup, when conditions were favorable, sportspal was like a floating cork,
  8. With your smile Lew i bet that big momma was just as terrified, as you were
  9. they will move to another location, everything done now in society is a band aid approach without having to deal with the real issue, enforce the people who disrespect the laws, not the ones who do,
  10. try the dam that separates mountain lake from 12 mile lake, should be smallies for sure, likely some road ditch brook trout creeks there as well, do a google search, or check with the mnr on fishing opportunities from shore in the area, especially if your looking for cold water species namely brook trout
  11. I know a guy who lost 2 Perry Winkles on Stoney Lake the same day in late October, I was heart broken, almost tearing, he laughed, i cant swim down 40 feet to retrieve them and back, especially in 50 degree water, they are up in the north end, still have the GPS coordinates on my Garmin.
  12. Likely right Bill unless you add the collectors who own Haskell Minnows, or other valuable lures The Late Rolf Balansiak who made Wishmaster Big Baits are fetching over a 1000.00 for experienced chewed up models, and numbers go up from there, many of our Big Musky Bait makers today spent time in Rolf's shop learning from the master,
