  1. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Jewel_Bait_Sculpin/descpage-JS.html These seemed to work pretty good on Lake Erie, fished on a jig head or drop shot.

  3. I never understood the mentality behind getting caught breaking the law and blaming someone else. It sounds like Canada would be much better off with out him as a guest.
  4. gypsy bait oil, a memory from a different era, it smelled like black licorice, anise oil was in it.
  5. I often wondered how they made wooden muskie lures.
  6. " thought the bomb was no longer active " I dispute that thinking was involved.
  7. I have racheting cargo bars from my truck driving days that I cut down with a pipe cutter to fit. They worked in my van or utilty trailer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywtS4bZD93w
  8. http://www.lakersunlimited.com/gallery3/Lakers-Lunkers/File0009 In a net though, I thought Great Bear or Great Slave lakes were known for huge lakers?
  9. It is fairly common, my oldest daughter had it when she was in her late 20's and made a complete recovery. I am sure some don't have the same outcome, the 2-3 week time frame was about the same for her.
  10. It looks like a pricy version of the old 3 way swivels to me?
  11. Driving in Florida was a whole new experience to me, I though we had some bad drivers here.
  12. Yes, had a friend buy a new one and the transmission went towing a pop up camper to North Carolina, his first trip with it.

  14. Far and away the best thing I used for Crappie was Emerald Shiners fished on a spreader under a float. Even on lakes here that didn't have a natural Emerald Shiner population they were the way to go. Bait stores here away from Lake Erie tended to sell fat head minnows or creek chubs for bait, the Emerald Shiners would catch more Crappie if you could find them or bring them. Lures? A two inch sassy shad or power grub on a 1/8 ounce jig head, a Road Runner, small tubes.
  15. Thanks Joey, I have been to Huntsville, although many years ago. My buddy's uncle had a gas station - diner there an we took a break from fishing one day to visit.
  16. Joey as I recall on our trips to Pointe Au Baril there was a bridge with a lake on either side of 69, with a sign nearby that said Lake of Bays? I could be mistaken, it has been a long time.
  17. LOL, I see zero water in those pictures, no wonder ice fishing never worked for me! Pretty fish! Doesn't Lake of Bays pass under hwy 69?
  18. I thought spring started with the bass opener?
  19. Good article, as someone that fished regularly in tournaments here he is right about following the trail. Some lakes just regularly produce a better chance at a good sized bass than others. We have those lakes here too, plenty of bass, but ones over 3 - 3 1/2 pounds are a rarity, on other lakes a 5 pounder might not be a lock for big fish on tournament day.
  20. Joey that area is farm country, just wide open farm fields for the most part and the wind whips across it. The only night I had to spend away from home in over 30 years of driving a semi was in that area, the highway patrol shut the roads down in blizzard like conditions. A semi with a light load or empty can lose it quickly when a gust of wind hits it and the roads are icy. That particular evening it was difficult just to stand on the road when a gust of wind hit, and I could watch it sliding my parked trailer. I don't miss being in an 18 wheeler.
  21. It certainly hasn't been pretty in our area either! http://www.19actionnews.com/story/24956371/ohio-turnpike-closed-in-both-directions-from-sr-53-to-sr-4
  22. I saw a video of a company constructing a home foundation and basement with those. The foam acts as a mold and adds an insulation value. Not that it ever gets cold up there. LOL If you can reduce heating and cooling costs? It's best to do it with the initial construction? Never had a problem with BPS or Cabelas's both were on the trip list and both had certain advantages, having one close by is one of the biggest advantages. At the time I had to travel to Auburn Hills or Dundee Michigan for them.
  23. As I recall the Abrams tank is made in Lima Ohio, I don't think many Ohio residents know. The old Chrysler tank plant here was next to Cleveland Hopkins airport. It was turned into a warehouse and then the International Exhibition Center, the RV, and Sportsman show used to be held there. The Budweiser girls might be the only good thing about Bud?
  24. Canada has tanks? We might have to rethink the invasion plans! LOL
