  1. Lifestyles of the rich and famous? Too bad fishing had to come to this?
  2. Dad was 101st airborne, if you think parachuting is fun? Try it with people shooting at you! The 6th of June, a day to remember.
  3. LOL, it would have been nice to see a cost per mile comparison between those and concrete or asphalt? All those electronics out in the snow and rain? I am sure there wouldn't be issues? Can the system be hacked? Turn now? A cool idea! I am working on a plan for a stairway to heaven and also need funding!
  4. Saw the hammock thing this morning too, great! Them bears know how to chill! LOL
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Na9-jV_OJI
  6. Watch the threads, an electrical box screw may not be metric, an Abu screw probably is.
  7. Deer weren't too far from the endangered species list her in Ohio back in the 50's and 60's, the burbs and expansion of no hunting zones probably did more to save them than anything else, now in some areas they are a problem. Bears are becoming more and more frequent to eastern Ohio also, again with no hunting zones because of population they expand their range.
  8. I had a 1987 smokercraft pro angler, it came with a minn kota 36 pound thrust bow mount with a 48 inch shaft. I eventually replaced it with a motor guide 52- 55 pound thrust motor with a 50 inch shaft. Generally? if the water was too rough for the shaft length of the motor? I didn't need to be out there anyway.
  9. My dad had a 16 foot Sylvan with a 25hp Johnson on it, the worst boat ever for one guy to try and fish out of. No amount of adjustment to the motor helped, anything much faster than a troll would send the bow skyward and block your vision. A piece of carpet in the bow and a couple of hundred pounds of rocks helped, he even tried a whale tail on the motor without much success. It was a good boat though for inland electric motor only lakes.
  10. And to our friends up north.
  11. LOL, yep that works for muskies too!
  12. I would have been safe! Drop my drawers and make my own mountain! LOL I got charged by one of my neighbor's horses that got loose once, defending my territory with a gun seems like a safer plan. Those hooves look awful big close up. I was with one of my uncles one time at Pointe au Baril and he wanted to get a closer look at a bear cub swimming in a shallow pass between two islands, no way, we are close enough and momma has to be nearby! Don't fool with mother nature?
  13. " Bears can run up to 35 miles per hour and climb 100 feet up a tree in 30 seconds! Do NOT run or climb a tree when you encounter a bear. Don't run. Black Bear FAQs - Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation " I might manage either in a year? Then again, probably not! LOL Yes it would seem a shame to kill it, but better that then someone getting hurt by it? Luckily the ones I have seen were from a distance, and I was usually on the water.
  14. LOL, a good friend keeps the sheep head out of the way so you can concentrate on the game fish? Nice job!
  15. I am glad I have a better chance of getting hit by lightning than seeing a bear in my yard! That rascal looks pretty big.
  16. LOL Crappie, she seemed happy enough making it? and it's even cheaper than Ripple?
  17. A boat is a platform you can move around the water, that wouldn't be my first choice for a fishing boat but it may keep the family happy. What Lew said also, we went on Lake Erie all the time in small boats, but were always aware of weather conditions.
  18. They are not weeds! They are wildflowers!
  19. Cool, It's been a lot of years since I saw the falls.
  20. I figured if I added beer more would look? All kidding aside, I know that MS is a problem up there too, and noted to be more of a problem the farther you live from the equator. http://health.usnews.com/health-news/family-health/heart/articles/2008/06/23/time-in-the-sun-how-much-is-needed-for-vitamin-d " In the winter, it's impossible to produce vitamin D from the sun if you live north of Atlanta because the sun never gets high enough in the sky for its ultraviolet B rays to penetrate the atmosphere "
  21. LMAO! They should make some of those for our own politicians!
  22. Anything over 5 to 1 worked well enough for me. Reels? Ford - Chevy it has a lot to do with preferences, mine were Shimano or Abu.
  23. I have a Poulan Pro from Walmart now, 5 years and over 4 acres of land. It uses pre cuts trimmer line, like .095 and they last well and are easy to change. It was around 125 bucks here, so for the price of some of the others you could get two.
  24. http://lungelodge.ning.com/video/lunge-lodge-2013-bass-tournament I have no idea where Wolseley Bay is in relation to the Lunge Lodge, my experience there was limited to a few hours fishing, there are some decent L/M bass there to also.
  25. I think the dust from the nuclear testing back in the 50's and 60's blew this way? http://www.webmd.com/diet/news/20120813/state-obesity-rankings-no-winners Diet and exercise?
