I have racheting cargo bars from my truck driving days that I cut down with a pipe cutter to fit. They worked in my van or utilty trailer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywtS4bZD93w

It is fairly common, my oldest daughter had it when she was in her late 20's and made a complete recovery. I am sure some don't have the same outcome, the 2-3 week time frame was about the same for her.

It looks like a pricy version of the old 3 way swivels to me?

Given some recent posts about bad drivers....

Driving in Florida was a whole new experience to me, I though we had some bad drivers here. -
Yes, had a friend buy a new one and the transmission went towing a pop up camper to North Carolina, his first trip with it.

Far and away the best thing I used for Crappie was Emerald Shiners fished on a spreader under a float. Even on lakes here that didn't have a natural Emerald Shiner population they were the way to go. Bait stores here away from Lake Erie tended to sell fat head minnows or creek chubs for bait, the Emerald Shiners would catch more Crappie if you could find them or bring them. Lures? A two inch sassy shad or power grub on a 1/8 ounce jig head, a Road Runner, small tubes.

Thanks Joey, I have been to Huntsville, although many years ago. My buddy's uncle had a gas station - diner there an we took a break from fishing one day to visit.

Joey as I recall on our trips to Pointe Au Baril there was a bridge with a lake on either side of 69, with a sign nearby that said Lake of Bays? I could be mistaken, it has been a long time.
-
LOL, I see zero water in those pictures, no wonder ice fishing never worked for me! Pretty fish! Doesn't Lake of Bays pass under hwy 69?

I thought spring started with the bass opener?

Good article, as someone that fished regularly in tournaments here he is right about following the trail. Some lakes just regularly produce a better chance at a good sized bass than others. We have those lakes here too, plenty of bass, but ones over 3 - 3 1/2 pounds are a rarity, on other lakes a 5 pounder might not be a lock for big fish on tournament day.

Joey that area is farm country, just wide open farm fields for the most part and the wind whips across it. The only night I had to spend away from home in over 30 years of driving a semi was in that area, the highway patrol shut the roads down in blizzard like conditions. A semi with a light load or empty can lose it quickly when a gust of wind hits it and the roads are icy. That particular evening it was difficult just to stand on the road when a gust of wind hit, and I could watch it sliding my parked trailer. I don't miss being in an 18 wheeler.

It certainly hasn't been pretty in our area either! http://www.19actionnews.com/story/24956371/ohio-turnpike-closed-in-both-directions-from-sr-53-to-sr-4

Smart bear! No do overs! -
I saw a video of a company constructing a home foundation and basement with those. The foam acts as a mold and adds an insulation value. Not that it ever gets cold up there. LOL If you can reduce heating and cooling costs? It's best to do it with the initial construction? Never had a problem with BPS or Cabelas's both were on the trip list and both had certain advantages, having one close by is one of the biggest advantages. At the time I had to travel to Auburn Hills or Dundee Michigan for them.

Potential tank test site on Benoir Lake
OhioFisherman replied to John Bacon's topic in General Discussion
As I recall the Abrams tank is made in Lima Ohio, I don't think many Ohio residents know. The old Chrysler tank plant here was next to Cleveland Hopkins airport. It was turned into a warehouse and then the International Exhibition Center, the RV, and Sportsman show used to be held there. The Budweiser girls might be the only good thing about Bud? -

What's the craziest bait you've ever used to fish with?
OhioFisherman replied to Old Ironmaker's topic in General Discussion
As a kid fishing with my dad for perch? If we ran out of bait on the lake (erie) the eyes of perch or strips of their meat or a sheephead also worked, soft water. -
Funniest thing you've seen while fishing?

It didn't seem funny at the time? But maybe the Muskie I lipped? A Muskie hitting the prop on my electric trolling motor after I had put reflective tape on it. Getting chased by a goose in the dark at a local pond, I wandered too close to her nest! One of my now ex wives using her navel as a fighting belt when she hooked a 20-25 pound catfish, I thought she would push the rod handle into her spine. One of my uncles, small pike on a stringer hanging over the side of the boat many years ago. Then he hooked a big pike and it broke the line on the stringer. He was going ballistic and we were laughing in another boat. The look on my buddy's face when the strange fish he was playing turned out to be a fat 3 foot water snake snagged in the side. A guy at a local pond showing me the rainbow trout he had caught, hmmm.... most of us call them sunfish. A groundhog playing squirrel, 8-10 feet up a tree. The plastic seat base on my bow seat breaking, just as I set the hook on a decent bass, over I went and the bass got off. But at least my head didn't dent the gunnel. A draw partner in a 2 day bass tournament complaining that he didn't get a hit in 2 days. I won the tournament and had offered him the same lures I was using. Nobody wants to hold the carp or the sheephead for a picture, even though the will never ever see a bass that big! -
Over a hundred? Ohio, PA, New York, Ontario, Va. Didn't think much of Chautauqua in New York the first couple of times there but they kept putting it on the tournament schedule and I learned. Still don't think much of Berlin Lake in Ohio, I could go to lake much closer and catch small bass all day. I don't recall ever seeing anyone weigh in a bass there over 3 1/2 pounds in any of the tournaments I was in, other lakes you could almost count on a bigger one than that.
