  1. I won't go into any details but a company I've been involved with decided to merge with another company and there would be some surplus funds that would be split evenly with some of us. It was estimated we'd receive about $2600 each so it was rather nice this morning to receive word that rather than $2600 it was gonna be nearly $37,000. As mentioned above, it's a nice way to start my day 🙂

  3. It's true bass are easy to catch, they just get way smarter when you pay enter fee. And it's not a bass it's 5 bass and you have to do it from 7 to 3 no excuses on Sat and Sunday with all the locals out fishing. And you do have a huge investment, with just a thousand things that can break and will break. If you can't fix it you go home. You buy the same fishing license as the locals and contribute the same amount to the fishier and may only fish the lake 2-3 days. So if you think it's easy just buy in go find out how easy it is.

  5. Just a heads up to you tackle junkies who are looking for cheap tackle treys to store your lures and tackle. Dollarama is selling these new tackle treys for $4. They’re similar to the Plano 3700 and the latches on these are very solid. I recently picked up a bunch of used lures and just had them organized.

  9. Got a 32" LG still good after 10 years, a 21" LG in the kitchen still good after 6 years and a 58 Samsung good after 5 years. My wife was against getting the Samsung but loves it now. You got to do your research before you buy any TV or appliance.

  10. And now I feel like a bit of a crap. I just dropped off the box and away it goes. Same lady was absolutely golden. Must’ve just been an off day. I guess we all have them. And perhaps I was having one too.. I think it’s all too easy to forget that everybody else is struggling with covid and work stresses also.

  12. Three reasons reasons Lew; I paid to have it delivered, it was well under their weight limit, and they didn't tell me it was going to take 5 extra days.

  14. In California they do love big lures for bass. The guys on Tackle Tour throw baits that most guys here would feel are too large for Muskies. The rods are so stiff that when you catch a bass it's like a snag slowly coming to the boat. I had a swimbait rod that I used for 20-25lb chinooks and it made them seem weak. As far as tournaments are concerned I'm not saying it's easy, I'm not saying that the anglers don't have a lot of skin in the game and yes they buy a fishing license. The issue is that the business does not pay for the use of the resource and I guess tat means my issue is with the organizer or owner of the event. They should have to pay significant fees for using the resource to make money. Ding the sponsors for some of the costs and like all businesses use some of the entrance fees and ticket revenue to cover the cost as well. truth is we have enough socialism corporate and otherwise in our society as it is. Pay your way at the very least you will feel better about yourself.

  15. a lot of people in California and parts of Mexico use these huge musky sized swim baits in an effort to catch a 15 to 20 pound bass, as they can grow that large in those parts. many are hoping to beat the current world record which is a tie at 22 pounds 4 oz.

  17. I saw an episode of Nature of Things concerning Coywolfs and to me telling them apart is VERY difficult. That thing could be either without a weigh scale and maybe even a blood test. Don't let it near your dog though.

  20. Bass are the easiest fish in the world to catch, why would anyone need such an expensive lure to go after them ? 😁

  24. He did indeed, also injecting bleach and exposing your insides to UV light. Not sure why no one is trying those either. I think it’s a conspiracy by “big pharma” and the “elite” as part of the depopulation agenda.
