That sign's a bit further up the laneway.. "If you can read this you're in range" ! You can't post will be shot... it's threatening and negates your self defence case.2 points

Im not a big fan of sharing fishing spots. It makes the learning curve zero and floods spots with boats. People post a picture of a musky and then Where they caught it. That post stays online forever so now anyone can look that up and everyone will fish that spot.2 points

Now is not the time to become complacent! Many people are nearing the end of their 14 day quarantine and most are getting antsy about getting out and doing normal things, DON'T! Cases of covid 19 are on the rise which means if you have been lucky enough to avoid it thus far the odds of getting it are actually increasing. Now more than ever you should be even more cautious. You might not think it matters, perhaps you are young and strong, even if you get it no big deal you might not even show symptoms but what about those you have contact with? This virus is killing people, tens of thousands of people, nine more just died yesterday in a nursing home in Bobcaygeon. The reason so many people are being infected is because too many people haven't taken it seriously enough, they are being selfish, they are thinking of what they WANT instead of what they NEED. My 14 day quarantine is up as of tomorrow and my initial thought was "great, I can go shopping"! Then I realized "I don't NEED to go shopping, I still have plenty of food, I still have two weeks of medications left, (I'll call the drug store today and see if they can deliver). Sure it would be nice to get some fresh veggies or fruit but I don't NEED them right now, I've made soups or stews with any perishable vegetables I had and frozen them so I'm good for a while. So before you head out the door at the end of your 14 days think about the risk not only to you but to your loved ones, DO I NEED IT or DO I WANT IT!1 point

I don't understand keeping people from boating! Its ok for me to be at a busy construction site but I can't put my boat in the water and go fishing alone? Or with one other person? what the hell1 point

I saw Ford on the news last night and he was understandably mad. He said they keep doing things to keep people safe and so many just ignore everything. They even taped off the playgrounds to keep the kids away from each other and some morons go behind and rip the tape down and cut off the padlocks....and I doubt if the kids have bolt cutters. He's said before that he'll keep doing whatever it takes and this was just inevitable.1 point

Hopefully all this measures will help. We had one or two days with nice weather last week in my area. All parks and trails were flooded with people.1 point

20% off this morning free shipping over $50. Couldnt resist...grabbed the last of a couple of good colour yamasenkos for $8 a pack. Megabass stuff has been ravaged but i managed to get a sonic side for less than $20 thats basically 40% off tacklewarehouse price. Bought some keitechs and a couple of reel covers! with our dollar being so low, its actually a crazy good deal on the high end stuff. Their stores are all closed so they are obviously trying to flood as much cash flow via online sales as they possibly can to keep the business floating1 point

I just picked up the custom cover Reg and his wife made for me last week. A great deal for high quality Sunbrella and totally custom fit including over the elec. bow troller. They even covered my kicker which I didn't ask them to. And they used the boat as a template not the old cover. If you want to get your boat done by him don't wait too long. He is booked solid and I got in only because he had a cancellation. I was quoted $1500.00 by a company in London, I paid 1/2 of that.1 point

Deeply saddened to learn that former Ontario Out of Doors magazine editor John Kerr has passed away at 73 from complications related to cancer. John was not only a terrific angler and a true pioneer of many techniques that trout and salmon anglers in Ontario take for granted today, he fought countless battles with MNR on behalf of anglers and campaigned relentlessly toward getting MNR to establish the extended fall seasons and year-round seasons we all enjoy today. Beyond that, John was a true gentleman, a pillar of integrity, and one hell of a mentor to guys like me who wanted nothing more than to make a living writing about fishing. No funeral service details have been released. For more info, see https://oodmag.com/news/ood-editor-john-kerr-passes/0 points
