mr blizzard Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 First time in over five years gas is under a buck 98.9 at our schell station Great way to start our trip to our fishing hole
HTHM Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 At the cost of how many jobs, and a tremendous hit to our economy.
Pigeontroller Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 Got it for .75 here in Niagara a week ago...
gaspumper Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 Got it for .75 here in Niagara a week ago... I think his is under $1.00 a gallon where ours is $0.75 a liter
manitoubass2 Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) Been holding at .97 here for about 2 months Edited January 24, 2016 by manitoubass2
leaf4 Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 Been filling up at around 0.82-0.89 in Hamilton for the past couple weeks! Loving it
FloatnFly Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 I think his is under $1.00 a gallon where ours is $0.75 a liter naw, NWT is generally more expensive for everything, just cause of the cost of shipping up there. so it'd be under a buck a litre. down in the US its around $1.70 /gallon
huzzsaba Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 84.9 in mississauga. Nice to be filling up for less a buck for premium fuel!
Tayzak15 Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 99.9 all over in Timmins,ON price fixing at its absolute finest!
mr blizzard Posted January 24, 2016 Author Report Posted January 24, 2016 Was $1.33 up here for years, going to enjoy it while it lasts, helps to offset other expenses, surprised at Timmins price
Tayzak15 Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 Was $1.33 up here for years, going to enjoy it while it lasts, helps to offset other expenses, surprised at Timmins price Timmins is almost always higher than anywhere around here. There is a lot of price fixing going on in this town, there is never one gas station cheaper than the other and they all drop their prices within an hour of each other when they do drop. A couple of years ago there was even an "investigation" by police about price fixing, but of course nothing would come from that.
DRIFTER_016 Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 On my trip to Ontario in December the highest gas prices were in the section from Thunder Bay to the Soo. A good chunk higher than our prices were here in Yellowknife.
Steelheadphycho Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 $1.45 a gallon here Ack! You beat me to it!! That's $ .38/lt for the metric folks.......
Old Ironmaker Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 Yes our economy is based on carbon consumption. But I can't get my head around paying ridiculous prices so my neighbour can stay employed. I sure am not feeling guilty filling up my 4X4 with that V8. I can say I'm not driving to the rez for a deal when I can get it down the road. I could save even more but I'm not unless I'm in the area.
Beans Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) 88.9 in town today...81.9 at curve lake but only if we need to go by there... Edited January 26, 2016 by Beans
Tayzak15 Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 https://www.timminstoday.com/local-news/black-says-timmins-has-a-serious-gas-problem-189844?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook And here it is coming up again in Timmins
wormdunker Posted January 27, 2016 Report Posted January 27, 2016 I filled up the other day in St. Catharines for 79.3 /L. I feel the pain of motorists who are paying $1.00 / L. When gas was 1.30 /L it cost $180.00 to fill my truck. 143 L tank - OUCH! I'll never complain about gas prices, since I've been working in the oil sands. In 2015 my income was reduced to 50% of 2014 due to massive layoffs in the oil industry. As HTHM stated low oil prices have crippled the economy of Canada! My company employed as many as 40 crane operators in 2013 & 2014. Today there are only 4 operators at work!!
jimmer Posted January 27, 2016 Report Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) It's a cruel irony that when gas prices become affordable other things become.....well, outrageous. Celery at almost $5 a head, they were 99 cents a short while ago. That's just one item. Hard to understand the global economy. Edited January 27, 2016 by jimmer
HTHM Posted January 28, 2016 Report Posted January 28, 2016 Most importantly, what is this going to do to the price of BigUgly"s salsa!!!???
manitoubass2 Posted January 28, 2016 Report Posted January 28, 2016 Wife has a gas card. Comes in handy. 96 here today and the gas card knocks off about 8 cents
manitoubass2 Posted January 28, 2016 Report Posted January 28, 2016 Most importantly, what is this going to do to the price of BigUgly"s salsa!!!??? Its profitable at $12 a barrel???
