bigugli Posted November 14, 2015 Report Posted November 14, 2015 Went to market this morning and was greeted by snow in Kitchener at 6 in the morning. Of course the weather meatheads are assuring us that we should not be seeing any snow in the near future.
lew Posted November 14, 2015 Report Posted November 14, 2015 Just a light dusting up my way Bruce and it's all gone now but if that's all we get this winter I'm good with that LOL
captpierre Posted November 14, 2015 Report Posted November 14, 2015 How is St Jacobs these days. Haven't been there since the fire. Did they rebuild? Bigger?
bigugli Posted November 14, 2015 Author Report Posted November 14, 2015 How is St Jacobs these days. Haven't been there since the fire. Did they rebuild? Bigger? There is a plastic dome structure where the old building stood and a much bigger wooden structure on the east side just before the livestock yard. We are certainly kept busy outside.
misfish Posted November 14, 2015 Report Posted November 14, 2015 Just a light dusting up my way Bruce and it's all gone now but if that's all we get this winter I'm good with that LOL Opened the door at 4 this morning and was like, YES. Sorry Lew

Joeytier Posted November 14, 2015 Report Posted November 14, 2015 Back lakes around here were already skimming over this time last year, and we were drilling thru 5 inches on December 2. Bet were gonna be at least 2 weeks behind this year, 4 days of 8-12 degree highs next week means the boat gets an extra lease on life.
moxie Posted November 14, 2015 Report Posted November 14, 2015 Send it back!!!! Winter is for kids and those who still think they are.
misfish Posted November 14, 2015 Report Posted November 14, 2015 Bring on the ice!!! I wouldnt complain about this, would save on travel, yet Im not going to complain about that as well. Where ever the fish are,I will travel. 100km or 5 km.

Acountdeleted Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 For those of is who only have a kayak I can't wait to bring on 'trout season'. Lady simcoe and a few secret spots and calling. Co-workers say it will be difficult to find ice this winter. I know it's going to be a bit of a wait but I sure hope not. My flasher is itching.
DRIFTER_016 Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 From the Ontario Blizzard Watch FB page today. Wind storm (potentially severe) still possible Wednesday night into Thursday morning and lots of snow between Saturday and Monday, for Southwestern and Central Ontario. Wind storm: Models are arguing a bit but a couple are estimating 70-90km/h wind gusts possible in Bruce Peninsula, Blue Mountain, Southwestern Ontario and areas north of Lake Erie, possibly including Niagara late Wednesday night into very early Thursday morning. As the strongest winds push into the GTA, Central Ontario and eastern Ontario, they calm down slightly and may remain in the 60-85km/h gust range. Hopefully non-severe by Thursday afternoon but a tree down here and there isn't out of the question. Snow storm: Southwestern and Central Ontario might see some pretty heavy snowfall by Monday as per two separate models. Some are only showing 2-6 inches while others are hinting at more than a foot for some regions in Southwestern Ontario.gasp emoticonBlizzard like conditions are also possible late Saturday night and throughout the day on Sunday as the wind gusts could get pretty intense, even possibly reaching borderline severe. Brace yourselves, winter is coming.
misfish Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 Looks like a local fish this weekend Dave. Heck, might even just work and get some extra cash for a few needed winter toys.
