torco Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 fly fishing either with wet flies or swinging steelhead flies.
Rich Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 Twitch, twitch, SMASH I love jerkbaiting for pike (or musky if they are around)
aero_ball Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 Senko for largies and drop-shotting for smallies.
jbailey Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 jerkbaits for pike, top water for anything, senkos for bass
TJQ Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 Trolling spoons for pike, and when the conditions are right topwater poppers for bass!!
Dontcryformejanhrdina Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 I have to commit to using topwaters for musky more this year. I usually give up though because I see something following it and it turns out it's just a smallmouth. Or seagulls take an interest in it and I have to put it away or else I'll catch them.
bow slayer Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 toss up, love watching a float go down for steelhead but also love wading out and tossing top waters in the evenings for bass and pike. A close 3rd would be running for a tip up watching it going down.
Spiel Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 Anything and I do mean anything except trolling unless downriggers are in use.
bare foot wader Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) hard to pick...generally anything sight fishing fly casting to spring pike tarpon (yet to land sadly...it's like a 150lb steelhead on steroids, my favourite fish) the first sturgeon i caught was fun, after that it becomes a chore/workout lol Edited May 30, 2013 by bare foot wader
Guest ThisPlaceSucks Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 paddling my canoe around a brookie lake trolling spoons and casting the shore with spinners/raps.
outllaw Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 passion in every post. i love that. mines trollin muskies. its a science if done well.
fishnsled Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 Anything and I do mean anything except trolling unless downriggers are in use. They still got lots of dust on them?? I love doing it all but topwater for any fish is pretty exciting. Flippin' and pitchin', casting spinnerbaits and cranks, ripping bucktails, finesse fishing, trolling....they all have a time and a place throughout the year. I should break out the fly gear this year, it's been a while since that's been used.
misfish Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 I like it all. The hardest part is deciding what to do most days! We're spoiled rotten here in ontario. Soooo many awesome fishing opportunities!! S. YUPPPP

mercman Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 Drop shoting slammers for smallies. They'll rip the rod right outta your hand if you aren't careful. Trolling flat line for walleye with Mike Rousseau Casting spinnerbaits for anything that bites, especially Pike.
Walleye'm Fishing Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 1- Float tubing for giant specks... you just can't beat that. 2- Night shore fishing for giant eyes in the fall.
fishindevil Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 Nice shootin TJ !!!!! Awesome pike ......it always feel better when you catch a fish on your own lure creations !!!!!! Cheers
Fish Farmer Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 (edited) All types of fishin, just some are better than others. Jigging finicky Walleye has to be the better for me on a quiet lake nobody around with a few buds, feet up, in the boat telling old stories of years past and buds that have past, maybe catching an odd fish, back at the cottage havin the fish fry, few brews sitting around telling more stories around the campfire. Life is good but too short. Edited May 31, 2013 by Fish Farmer

limeyangler Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 (edited) so far in Canada i would have to say straight jigging for trout and walleye in deep water, ice fishing for lakers and whitefish with a jig aint to shabby either , so i guess i would have to say JIGGING. Edited May 31, 2013 by limeyangler
ehg Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 Could spend all day trolling likely structure for muskies, or throwing topwaters for bass/musky.
