Guest gbfisher Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 (edited) Meegs with his fish. He's been on good size fish this spring. Went 4 for 7 in the three hours out there. Another guy went 8 for 16 but smaller fish. Still lots of fun. Edited July 1, 2011 by gbfisher
davey buoy Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 I think I know the area, off oro? Saw a lot of fish on the finder but my rope was only 100' long. Will have to add at least another 50'. Nice fish.
kickingfrog Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 That is one solid fish. Great way to spend Canada Day.
Spiel Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 That's a tank! Nice fish James. I'm guessing it was trolled up and not jigged?

Scott S Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 WOW! What a nice fish. What was the lure of choice. I'm going to have to try that. Just mounted some downriggers on my boat. Scooter

Scooter Meegs paints his own stuff and of course I forget the color of it... I was just there to reel in his fish is all. It's nice not having to do all the work for a change.
Terry Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 What a brute, congrats I think next winter on simcoe we will only fish for the big ones like that one
dsn Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Wow... I'm glad to see they still have monsters in there. The past few years I only see smaller lakers when I go ice fishing there. Thought there wasn't anymore monters in there. Glad to see the fishery is still thriving. karper.
