nancur373 Posted July 14, 2009 Report Share Posted July 14, 2009 Well the Sick Kids Hospital called yesterday to say that our youngest son Jacob's surgery has been bumped up to tomorrow. It was supposed to be Friday but I guess with some cancelations he moved up. For those of you who don't know he has double outlet right ventricle. This is a condition where the two major arteries come out of the right ventricle instead of one out the right and one out the left. He also has a rather large hole in his heart. The surgeon is hoping to be able to redirect the artery inside the heart rather than outside thus eliminating artificial conduits and reducing the chances of future surgeries.
