  7. Ten bucks for a gallon of bar oil at TSC(about 3.7l)...$7 for a liter at home depot and $3.50 at Home hardware..cheaper than a new bar nd chain..
  8. I try not to buy much fishing stuff from Evilmart or Canadian Tire. Usually the smaller stores get my $$$. As for the CTC Mastercard, I found it to be very useful on a trip to Nova Scotia. Their gas stations are common on the way down. Only problem is that you have to run the card up to $1000 balance before you get the discount, then pay it off before the interest charges get you...
  9. The camp Marydale fishing program will be a worthy cause... Kids from all over Hamilton will be attending...
  10. Dave, maybe we should invite this fellow to the Stelco Fishing Club awards night....feed him some beers till he gives up some crappie secrets...
  11. I'm in a union and I don't even get sick days, personal days etc....haven't called in sick for ten years but they would still demand a note
  12. Has the omnibus bill not changed all this??
  13. Haven't they all been speared out of there....oh wait, wrong creek....
  14. Its always easy and convienient to blame the unions isn't it.....forget that hydro costs have skyrocketed, their competitors have already moved and we also have environmental rules to follow....I bet they would have moved even if the workers made only $15 an hour...
  15. Looks nice but how slippery is it with a bit of snow???
  16. Lots of boats out on lake O and long point bay....not sure about the catching part...
  17. A good storage solution would be used plastic drums that had juice syrup in them. A place here in hamilton had them for $20 (hotz environmental)........
  18. I'm an executive member of the Glanbrook Conservation Committee. Most of our work is at the Binbrook Conservation area which consists of Bluebird trails, wood duck and Mallard nests, 10 000 trees and 30 000 aquatic plants since 1991, build and supply nest box kits to scout groups and schools(900 so far), development and maintenance of walking trails, shoreline protection projects, 12 cribs and over 1000 christmas trees sunk for fish habitat with another 10 cribs this year, we help with the winter crappie derby and hold our own spring derby, each year we bring a bus load of inner city kids out for a few hours of fishing and thanks to Fishing World we send them home with tackle and fishing rods, we kept the duck hunt going through some lean times for the conservation authority until they could staff it themselves.. While we aren't always happy with the way the Authority runs the park they have over time put more money and attention into the place. We will continue to work with them to advocate for all park users, especially fishermen and hunters.... http://glanbrookconservation.on.ca/joomla15/
  19. There's an online auction through the Hamilton spectator. Look in the sports and recreation section for some good fishing and hunting deals...picked up a marcum for half price last year...
  20. Is there even any water in coots??. It must be really low if there is....
  21. Try the photography section...some good tips there....
  22. Highs and lows for sure.....good luck fighting the cancer! Stay positive....
  23. Mine is in as well....
  24. Acme battery in Hamilton also has decent prices..... My marcum has issues with the battery gauge not allowing a charge through it. When I hook the battery directly to the charger it works fine...
