Although I have a decent paying job, I have been losing ground since 2007 so I will have to make do with my 14 foot tinner . I might add a few upgrades but that's about . I will be in need of a new vehicle in the next couple of years so that will be my priority..

I hope several people lose their jobs over this.. and no severance.. bye, bye you are fired..

I use turbo tax from Costco.. $29.. I fire up my old computer which already has my previous years tax return and it takes no time at all..

my bill was $43.. and that's why I don't get out much..lol...a burger and pitcher is a wee bit expensive these days.. the boat show just depresses me.. my annual income is down 7000 dollars from 8 years ago so my old tinner will have to do..

It was nice to meet some of our local members.. hopefully I'm off the weekend of the swap.. I'd love to try some of Bruce' s salsa I'm sure it will beat store bought by a mile!

For some reason dogs seem to get along with horses. In the barn where my daughter has a horse the dogs roam freely among them..

2015 was a tough one for me.. I actually only had one decent day of fishing back in may and haven't touched a rod since... too many issues to list for the year.. 2016 won't be any easier as my father in law is dying of cancer and my excellent person neighbor is still intent on making life miserable..

Dave and John, I just keep going to work hoping that the gates aren't locked.. looks like another 8 might get axed from my department on top of the 8 already on layoff.. we had a crew that had to work Christmas day and the following 2 days, then they are scheduled in on new years eve...Now that is a crappy schedule!.. the extra money can't replace family time in my opinion ... with my father in law dying of cancer and this being his last Christmas, I was happy to be off to make it as nice as I could considering the circumstances...

With Shaw being the new owner the price will go up but service should improve..

I worked last year but I'm scheduled off this one . I have to go in on new years day though.. no big deal... my workplace isn't much different than Chris Brocks.. no thanks or Christmas party etc.. not even a handshake from anyone other than the shift foreman.

I buy gas at costco for 6-8 cents a litre cheaper . The discount on gas at Canadian tire requires you to spend more to get a better discount.. Their other card gives you Canadian tire money back but neither equals the amount I save at costco

I watched live free or die last night.. the married couple is painful to watch... the guy who built the dugout canoe did a lot of work for a floating brick.. he probably could have traded some firewood for a decent canoe that would last another 20 years... it's all for the show I suppose...

I'm off Christmas day so I guess that could count as one wish.. my father-in-law has been battling cancer for a couple of years now and they keep finding it in different spots.. a result of him working around PCBs for so many . If only there was a way to get rid of cancer.. there are so many things I could ask for but I think a successful day of ice fishing is all I really need.. I haven't fished in 6 months for various reasons and a day out would help clear my head a bit...

Putting a raccoon in a van with dogs probably isn't the smartest thing to do either... BUT, what if animal control was only planning to relocate the problem coon to a new area?? We would never have known about the rabies.. I'm going to have to be vigilant about them.. who knows how many around are rabid!!

And what is a winter break??.. lol

Indigo has some really good guide books for NYC and costco.ca has a citypass that will admit you to a lot of attractions at a big . Stay in jersey and take the bus or hotel shuttle to times Square.. we came close to going this year but we just didn't have any luck putting it together
