chris.brock Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 3. Andersen is not the tender we are looking for. I know I'm just regurgitating Don Cherry, but yeah, I don't feel too good about this guy
grimsbylander Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 Anderson has not been stellar but tonight's loss is not on him. We're used to seeing a goalie get absolutely pelted and then loose.
Oggie Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 Anderson has not been stellar but tonight's loss is not on him. We're used to seeing a goalie get absolutely pelted and then loose. It's early in the season! I think you'll see him get absolutely pelted a lot of night this year. Lou L must know something we don't to sign him to such a longer time deal. If Gardiner continues to run around like a chicken with his head cutoff I'd say time for a trade. This guy just doesn't get it! All the talent in the world and no hockey sense. Play the clock and the score, JAKE! Basic Peewee rule of thumb!
Acountdeleted Posted October 24, 2016 Report Posted October 24, 2016 Get rid of any D player that can't backcheck. We have all the firepower we need. Get us 6 Jason Smith/Glen Wesley types and we'll be in business. Ps- I love how muskymatt says Mathews has blue and white disease despite the fact he has 9 points in 5 games. If blue and white disease is being on pace for 150 points this season, sign me up!

Just last week he was on pace for 328 goals this season. Maybe we should trade him?

dave524 Posted October 25, 2016 Report Posted October 25, 2016 Montreal, I see on the scrolling bar across the CHCH news this morning is the only NHL team without a regular time loss, guess Carey is back.
lookinforwalleye Posted October 25, 2016 Report Posted October 25, 2016 Montreal, I see on the scrolling bar across the CHCH news this morning is the only NHL team without a regular time loss, guess Carey is back. Indeed he is....but I will add Montoya played great in his absence...Weber comes as advertised....Radulov has been a beast...Gallagher has been great...4th line has been fantastic....etc....etc....
Oggie Posted October 26, 2016 Report Posted October 26, 2016 Guess Babcock doesn't value Don Cherry's opinion on goalies. Fairly flippant dismissal of the the "Saturday Night" information source by Babcock. I hope I'm wrong but I think Lou and Shannie might have made their first BIG mistake. I heard some Bronx cheers last night in the second period. Although Belfour got that treatment for the first few games and he worked out pretty well.
BillM Posted October 26, 2016 Report Posted October 26, 2016 It's 5 games in.. Let's not get too excited just yet. And Babs has a much better coaching record then Cherry ever had, I'd tend to trust what he's doing.
grimsbylander Posted October 26, 2016 Report Posted October 26, 2016 I agree with Bill...it's way too early to pass judgement. Cherry knows his stuff but he's hardly accountable for his opinions.
Acountdeleted Posted October 26, 2016 Report Posted October 26, 2016 Its early but geez has Anderson ever looked rocky. Hope he can turn it around and get his confidence up.
huzzsaba Posted October 26, 2016 Report Posted October 26, 2016 Its early but geez has Anderson ever looked rocky. Hope he can turn it around and get his confidence up. Shoulda kept Reimer
davey buoy Posted October 26, 2016 Report Posted October 26, 2016 Shoulda kept Reimer That was always my choice .
grimsbylander Posted October 26, 2016 Report Posted October 26, 2016 Shoulda kept Reimer Maybe, Reimer needed to make a couple saves late in the game yesterday too. Andersen needed to make a couple saves in every period! lol
huzzsaba Posted October 26, 2016 Report Posted October 26, 2016 is it just me or does anyone else dislike the new format that nhl.com is using? I miss the old version. much easier to navigate and highlights and game stats were so much easier to find.
DRIFTER_016 Posted October 26, 2016 Author Report Posted October 26, 2016 There is a bright spot this year so far though.
leaf4 Posted October 26, 2016 Report Posted October 26, 2016 Dunno if I said it on here, but I was wary of Andersen, I'm sure he'll be better than he has been, but he also was sheltered playing behind Anaheim, they are a strong defensive team, and generally have had very strong corsi nunbers, hopefully he can work out the kinks
huzzsaba Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 Something really fishy about last night 10-0 lost of the habs against columbus. And not just that, Therien didnt think pulling Montoya was a good idea :dunno:
lookinforwalleye Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 Fishy as in the stunk....MT was not going to put his franchise player in harms way in a meaningless game that was already out of hand....Montoya was is expendable Price not so much.....IMHO
manitoubass2 Posted November 5, 2016 Report Posted November 5, 2016 Lol its just one game. That usually happens when you go on a tear Habs look great this year
Oggie Posted November 6, 2016 Report Posted November 6, 2016 Hope Price doesn't get hurt any time soon. Montoya won't appreciate being thrown under the bus. That's embarrassing for any player.
DRIFTER_016 Posted November 6, 2016 Author Report Posted November 6, 2016 HMMMMM, I was watching a Leafs game and a boxing match broke out!!!! The boyz are kickin' it old skool!!!
