grimsbylander Posted January 15, 2017 Report Posted January 15, 2017 Geez I'm glad I'm not stuck defending a team that nobody really cares about. Imagine an arena half empty and trying to get excited about a win? LOL Brutal. Ottawa is becoming the Hurricanes of the north. I read an article last with written by the Ottawa Sun about how this team will be in serious financial trouble if they don't start filling seats. And, how they're relying on the rival teams like Toronto and the big names like Crosby to boost ticket sales when they're in town. Ouch! There's also talk about how this new coach has done nothing to improve the team, he's only made them more defensive, thus stiffing the offense. It's looking pretty dark for this team going forward. But there's a bright side, nobody cares. GOne SENS GOne!!
Steve Posted January 15, 2017 Report Posted January 15, 2017 Ottawa supports real teams...like the Redblacks....just not the laughing stock Sens.
leaf4 Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 Meh! Luck and a hot goalie! Hammond who???? Oh right.
AKRISONER Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 (edited) whats matt gonna do when his joke of a team folds? Bandwagon jump somewhere else? We all know he only became a senaturds fan the year that they made the finals and got basically swept lol. Worst franchise in the NHL I blame bettman for the crappy teams in the southern united states that cannot fill their arenas, but Nottawa...no excuse, just a pathetic excuse for a hockey club. I agree, send them to quebec. Edited January 16, 2017 by AKRISONER
jimmer Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 I can also see the Sens moving to Quebec. A half empty house in the Nations capitol is embarrassing.
grimsbylander Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 (edited) I thought at the time Quebec City was going to get that team. Ottawa obviously had more pull...from people on the business end, not people who actually watch hockey. Edited January 16, 2017 by grimsbylander
manitoubass2 Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 If ottawa went to Quebec id totally back that move. Huge mistake dissolving the nordiques in the first place

I agree, send them to quebec. The Sens won't fold or relocate.Period!! They have a fantastic fan base. I've been a Sens fan from day 1 in the NHL. No the worst would be the record the laffs have. Laffs suck!
Acountdeleted Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 (edited) Gonna still cheer when they are the Quebec City sénateur's eh? Well, to each their own. Edited January 16, 2017 by jeremy84
Raf Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 ottawa deserves an ahl team at best. a carolina affiliate would be fitting.
G.mech Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 Didn't the Quebec Nordiques go bankrupt (or almost at least) before they moved to Denver? Would a team in Quebec city really do better now?
John Bacon Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 (edited) The Sens won't fold or relocate.Period!! They have a fantastic fan base. DRIFTER_016 Posted January 17, 2017 Author Report Posted January 17, 2017 Holiday in the US today....MLK day. Yup, had to ask my Yankee friends on Facebook. It's OK though as I got to watch them on my computer @ work. 2 screens are good for that. Did actual work on the other one.
