irishfield Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 April 18th to May 9th, 2015 Noticed their "magazine" was at the Beer Store today. Wasn't all I picked up, but just an FYI about the 31 page booklet on what's going on and some local shops deals during the contest. This years Adult grand prize is a Lund Rebel XL Sport with 50Hp Merc, Lowrance locator, Bow Trolling motor and custom trailer.

Fisherman Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) Hopefully the ice will be gone by then. I've seen a few times the only place to launch was right in the Narrows. Early Bird tickets available until April 12th. Edited March 11, 2015 by Fisherman
misfish Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 I just might attend this year. Row out in the toon. No launch required.

LefroyFisherman Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 I'll be out again this year, last year it was pretty well iced until the 3rd weekend, might be the same this year
bigugli Posted March 12, 2015 Report Posted March 12, 2015 I can remember spending the first 2 weeks of Perchfest icefishing
wormdunker Posted March 12, 2015 Report Posted March 12, 2015 I was able to get to Orillia 2 different times last year. The first trip was cold, rainy & windy - not much fun. 2nd trip 10 days later was awesome, much warmer & the fish were co operating. 42 nice perch in about 3 hours!
Basschaser77 Posted March 12, 2015 Report Posted March 12, 2015 Went for the first time last year and had a great time! Discovered how nice the people are in Orillia. Kept going back to fish even after the festival was over. Can't wait to go back there!
Fish Farmer Posted March 12, 2015 Report Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) Never missed it, most of us have caught a few tags each Plus my buddy won the Grand prize a few years ago. What away to spend the beginning of the fishing year. Our group fishes it 8 to 9 days of the derby and we come from the Hammer. Have lots of stories, but what happens in Orillia, stays in Orillia Just a few pictures out of hundreds And after a hard days battling ice and fish. Edited March 12, 2015 by Fish Farmer
