Joeytier Posted March 6, 2015 Report Share Posted March 6, 2015 I've got an opportunity to score a great deal on a brand new non-current (2013) 9.9 Suzuki manual start. Having trouble finding much info on these newer motors. I understand Suzuki's to be a fairly reputable name in the world if outboards, at least with their older 2 strokes, but these 4 strokes I don't know much about. Any info would be appreciated, thanks. Sounds like my decision is all but made. The motor is priced at $2000 for brand new non-current 9.9, which is good considering that I'm seeing 2-4 year old Merc 8 and 9.9's going for upwards of $2500! mikdor Posted March 7, 2015 Report Share Posted March 7, 2015 I bought a non current 2008, 25 hp Suzuki In 2009 and got a 5 yr. warranty and I have never had an issue, runs like charm and easy on fuel. bow slayer Posted March 7, 2015 Report Share Posted March 7, 2015 I have a 70 hp 4 stroke Johnson(actually a suzuki) best motor I have ever owned,5 seasons with it ,it has been perfect.....if you do research you will find that there are very popular down in Austraila and the south pacific area.
