paul_614 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 dont know ...ill have to see what they would be working with ... Good one :clapping:
Billy Bob Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I see Timmy's up there is catching up to the USA Timmy's... Last summer I got a Med on the way home from Cliffs and they gave me that little cup....since I was in a hurry to get on the road I just thought they made a mistake and screwed me on the price....What was the old small....coffee in a shot glass...
Nipfisher Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 (edited) I JUST HAD AN EXTRA-LARGE DOUBLE DOUBLE AND NOW I CAN'T STOP YELLING! Edited January 24, 2012 by Nipfisher
asdve23rveavwa Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I JUST HAD AN EXTRA-LARGE DOUBLE DOUBLE AND NOW I CAN'T STOP YELLING! LOL...24 ounces, man, that's alot of pee breaks fishing in the morning
Uncle Buck Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 its horse crap... they have been advertising bigger cup sizes but no increase in price... 2 "old" large coffees is the same price as 2 "new" medium coffees... 2 "new" large coffees is more $$$ then 2 "old" large coffees all they did was introduce that 24oz monstrosity... I'm bitter LOL
Live2fish85 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I just had my first coffee in 9 months and mmm it was good. I did notice that there sizes were all different a medium now is the same price and size as the old large. They are just trying to keep up with Mcdonalds lol.
jedimaster Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I was an avid tim hortons guy, but since I got a tasimo, I can't drink that watered down Tim's coffee.
bigugli Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I'd rather go to McD's or CountryStyle.
Toronto_Angler Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Still don't know who can drink 24oz's of coffee..especially before it gets cold and nasty
asdve23rveavwa Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Still don't know who can drink 24oz's of coffee..especially before it gets cold and nasty It's the best of both worlds option...coffee for the first half, then "ice coffee". It truly is an absolutely silly size to sell in a cup.
Rattletrap2 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 You just know they are scamming us some how! The US Tim's Extra Large looks bigger, but when I checked and did a comparison in the Spring, theirs is a smaller diameter and slightly taller. Ours still held more coffee! The video by the OP is hilarious!
chefboi17 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I guess it's time to bring a thermos, that's enough coffee for the whole day
Rod Caster Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Twiggs in North Bay offers WAY better coffee, slightly cheaper, don't pay a CEO x-large coffee cups worth of money and their food isn't made to meet minimum food quality standards. I'll be happy if I ever make money shorting Tim Hortons stock. Can u tell I have a hate-on for Tims? Haha
bubbles Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 They are just trying to keep up with McDonalds becasue people are discovering that McDonalds coffee is far better for a cheaper price.
Bluegill Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I guess it's time to bring a thermos, that's enough coffee for the whole day Don't do that! Because the Tim Hortens Cups trails lead you to the secret fishing spots.

pics Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 THAT'S why we are getting fatter as a country!! Just trying to catch up to the Americans I suppose.....
Billy Bob Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 They are just trying to keep up with McDonalds becasue people are discovering that McDonalds coffee is far better for a cheaper price. I prefer Timmy's because it's a stronger cup of coffee but McDonalds is OK...and right now ANY size at Mc D's is $.79 per cup....can't beat that with a Ugly Stick....however Starbuck's has them all beat...
fishingfarmer Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Health Canada wants to put a stop to the new cup size.
BillM Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I'm sure it's a lot cheaper for Tim Hortons to run a single size in the US and Canada. They've had these monster cups in NY for as long as I can remember. Anytime Mike and I would go fish some NY tribs, I'd always forget, order a XL and shake my head when it's handed to me through the window, lol.
Skipper D Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 Heres DIFFERENT TWIST TO THIS THREAD , i asked a young person not all that long ag if they could tell me if they knew what Tim Hortons did for a living , they could'nt answer the question , any body here under thirty years of age want to take a stab at it , i am sure others will be surprized to find out .
