Guest gbfisher Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Lew, I've only had enough of ice fishing when there's no ice left that I can walk on. Then it's river fishing until the boat can go in. It never stops for some Lew.There's still almost two months left..
Tybo Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Only if it could be Late September early October all year round. Not a big fan of the heat and the BUGS.
aplumma Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 You can't get rid of winter fast enough for me now. After Feb starts I am ready to fish when the air is above 50F. Art
splashhopper Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 i was done with winter as soon as the clocks got tuned to bring the darkness on
Joeytier Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Still well over a month of the hard stuff to go for me. Get out there, people!

DRIFTER_016 Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 We're just getting to the best part of winter here. March and April are fabulous in YK. Long, sunny and warm days make for some awesome ice fishing times.
Bernie Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 (edited) I submit that we have winter once every three years. Anyone to second that motion? Looking forward to dropping this in the water around mid April. Two more months! Edited February 11, 2011 by Bernie
danbouck Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 I submit that we have winter once every three years. Anyone to second that motion? Looking forward to dropping this in the water around mid April. Two more months! The perfect boat and motor
GBW Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 I submit that we have winter once every three years. Anyone to second that motion? Looking forward to dropping this in the water around mid April. Two more months! Where are the rod holders for HH's plainer board trolling?
Bernie Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Thank you Dan, I think I used it more last summer than my glass boat. GBW, It's difficult to get Joe out of the sleep cabin.
Afraz Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 What are you guys talking about - soft-water ? This year has been the absolute best ice fishing year for me, i have been out more this year then the past 3 years put together. And i loved every minute of it, i hope this never ends, i can now fish waters that i would previously have no access to. HURRAY FOR HYDROGEN BONDING
Jewelbee Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Well, It's freezing where I work and my deck snowbank is a s tall as me, so.............although I like winter and don't mind the cold...bring on the spring!
bigugli Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 (edited) I like all the seasons, but, being a Finn, I'll take my winter over 100F temps any time. Besides, ice wrangling has been great this year. Edited February 11, 2011 by bigugli
OhioFisherman Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Certainly! but me and my dog both have enough sense to stay indoors near the woodburner.
Harrison Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Yes, enuff already. I miss having sun til late in the evening.
mr blizzard Posted February 11, 2011 Report Posted February 11, 2011 Lew you can never have enough winter. Hard water fishing, sitting on a pail with the wind at your back and icicles on your moustache, it does not get any better. And no line ups at the boat ramp. Our winters are getting wimpy enough as it is. Bring on the minus temps again.
