will be going to vegas for my first time april 1-5, for a wedding, will be staying at the mgm grand, looking for advice from those who have been before on things that you thought were worth doing/seeing, and what was not. i'm not much of a gambler but i'm sure i'll spend a little on the floor, i'm very easy going and am more of an "i'll do whatever you guys want to do" type of person,

any thoughts/advice/comments/shared experiences will be appreciated

thx

Oh oh.. you're screwed.

Don't buy that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas crap.

I got married there on Thanksgiving this past year. I did a couple of things that were memorable, got a tattoo at Hart & Huntington and went and fired machine guns at The Gun Store. Might not be for everyone but things I will remember for a long time.

Oh yeah MGM Grand has a great buffet... and you're right on the strip to boot.. For eats you also got the famous Brazilian buffet where they wheel sticks of meat to your table..

Be sure to check out Cirque du Soleil's tribute to the Beattles - LOVE. Also, among true Vegas shows is the Jubilee, which has the same show, a la topless!! There's also the wax museum and an awesome aquarium that will blow your mind.

A plethora of clubs but my favourites were PURE and Luxxor. PURE's in Ceasar's Palace so it would be walking distance to you. Oh the girlies!!

I'm not a big gambler, but I like the craps tables (5-10$) cause they offer lots of play time and I don't blow the bank. The potential for a nice payout is there too.

Be careful with the dollar pina coladas though... They're chalk full of something, but it ain't alcohol!

Oh and if you go on a lude trip, don't steal Mike Tyson's tiger!!

I'm going for my bachelor party at the end of May (getting hitched in June) and I plan on getting it all out of my system before the big day..

Have fun!!

cheers

If you are going to Vegas and you happen to be a Gun Enthusiast of any shape or form, you MUST go to The Gun Store Las Vegas. This place is absolutely amazing and a must do while visiting sin city! You can rent ANY automatic weapon that is manufactured either for the civilian, or military and law enforcement application. Everything from an M4A, UZI, AK47, Berretas, Glocks, Bennelli Automatic Shotguns, Colt 45, 357mags you name it, they got it and you can rent it along with as many clips you wish to fire down their range! It is a hoot!

Unless you win big on the slots or with the vegas girls, this will be the best $100.00 you will spend in the city! If you happen to strike out on the slots or the girls, this will often assist you in releiving pent up frustration!

Here is website if you are interested.

A buddy of mine told me a good way to have a few drinks for next to nothng is to go bet a couple of bucks in a sports longe area of a casino. He said you get a print out and the servers don't look at it, they just see that you bet and serve you drinks. I am not sure which casino he pulled it off in but he said it had great comfy furiture and was full of TV's. He bet a couple of bucks and just sat there with some buds and watched a game and acted like he had huge money on it and got good and sauced for free. Anyone know about this or is it a crock?

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember saying something like "I feel a bit light headed, maybe you should drive...." And suddenly there was a terrible roar all around us and the sky was full of what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming: "Holy Jesus! What are these goddamn animals?" (attorney says: "What are you yelling about?") Never mind, it's your turn to drive." No point in mentioning those bats, I thought, the poor bugger will see them soon enough. We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... and also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all this for the trip, but once you get locked in a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. And I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.
