hammered brass #4 indiana with 4mm red beads on a 20# three foot leader. I've caught trout, walleye, perch, northerns and whitefish on this rig.

Small 1/16th or 1/32nd oz Panther Martin... I like the silver blade with black body....

 

That too, has been my favourite for small stream specks, often with a bit of orange in the feather dressing too along with the black.

The reason why I like them so much is that it doesn't take much current, or a fast retrieve to get the blade going.. I love fan casting these things and letting them sit infront of log jams, etc...

I'd be happy to settle down with my Panther Martin #20 with gold blade and yellow/red-fleck body. Yeah, #20. I can toss it all spring for shallow lakers and big fat pike. :D And this coming summer we'll see how it does 30-40 feet down on the lead core...or possibly behind the dipsy :)

black fury all the way. early may, casting trees with a black fury is the most exciting brook trout fishing imaginable! killer strikes!!!
