I think I should get credit for solo's reports.

I mean after all, I DID teach him everything he knows.

There were also those stainless steelheading series, that were quite entertaining, and anything that my mug showed up in should be up for review as well! B)

For report of the year .. I vote for Bunk's 'Tree River' report (although the summary of 2008 was amazing too ... this should also get picture of the year in my books !

If there is a 'ugly fish of the year' category, I might have that one nailed down :) :)

Any of Mike's or Bunk's reports are like reading a good book. You never want them to end!

I agree.

Every time I see that picture I have nightmares for a week!

My top 3, too close to call for order of preference, would be:

1. Moosebunk -- creative, engaging, and usually jaw-dropping fish :worthy:

2. Limey -- good mix of videos and pics, great sense of humour, and you can't help but be motivated to try new lakes after watching him hit one lake after another, just because it's there :thumbsup_anim:

3. Solopaddler -- the guy is not just a steelheader...I recall some dandy walleye reports, and he's one heckuva'n adventurer. B)

HOWEVER!!!!! We are missing one of the BEST posts of the YEAR!!!! (My apologies if I have scrolled down to fast and missed it's mention)

CCMT's video!!!! "Here at OFC--NN" If there is a posting hall of fame, that's the centerpiece right there :clapping:

Posted

Aside from the ones that has been said already, I have always enjoyed reading TbayBoy, Justin and Rich's reports.

and yeah.... how can we forget about the OFC anthem made by Cliff??

There have been lots of good fishing posts this year, I enjoyed reading posts from Tbayboy,Ehg,MJL (great carp reports),Meely(great musky reports),Rich ,Johnnybass, jediangler and Steve Rowbotham. These guys all put in alot of time and effort to post reports this year :clapping::clapping:

and I'll have to agree the best fish picture was that one of Moosebunk, that fish had amazing colours.

Tough call, I am a new member here, but I have seen a huge variety of fishing posts and different facets of fishing in general.

There is a huge range within the membership, some people are the envy of others when they share thier tales about some of the great places they get to travel to and catch some fish of a lifetime. Others share some great reports from a family aspect and share some great reports and pics of thier families having a great time in the outdoors and sharing some great values along the way.

Other people like to get out "with the boys" and go hit the water hard and see what they come up with, and alot of times there is some friendly competition along the way and a tonne of good laughs from the ribbings that come along with it.

Posts from groups of people that enjoy getting together, seeing old friends, meeting new faces, and sharing in something everyone loves to do that can forge alot of friendships along the way, and alot of great times.

There are posts from industry people, tourny anglers, charter captains, hosts of shows ect.

I can think of a few members that stand out in alot of ways, but hard to try and pick through the diversity and narrow it down :Gonefishing:

Very tough to pick a favourite but Moosebunks are always something to look forward to. Snags are always a great laugh on a crappy work day. Solopaddler is responsible for me wanting to get into steelheading. But really, everyone who take the time to post a report is worthy of an award, keep them coming, I can't wait for the next batch.

Well put Sean. Hard to single any out without the unintentional alienation of others.

All the postings have been good so far. Yep, there are a lot of great posts.

Thanks Leechman, specific threads are great. It is kind of like nominating "best actor", people have to know what move the actor is being nominated for.

Bringing attention to those specific threads will also save people quickly narrow down jewels they may have not seen yet.

This coming week I put something together. Keep the input and help on direction going, this is bigger than I thought.

Solo and Moosebunk definitely come to mind ... next to me of course :whistling:

Careful, you might throw out your shoulder pattin' yourself on the back..... <_<:jerry::lol::lol:

Who the heck nominated me into the running?

I don't deserve to be on the board with the likes of Justin, Cliff, Solopaddler & Moosebunk. Their reports are above and beyond!

:worthy:

Posted

This is really tough, so many different reasons why different posts and posters would qualify if ya know what i mean .

I totally agree, Moosebunk's post are legendary, Solopaddler should be banned from fishing for steelhead so there are some left for the rest of us :whistling: , Leechman is definitely best newcomer...was noticing his post count...considering only a few months you certainly got stuck into the forum Jaques.....yer posts are darn good too :thumbsup_anim:

CCMT.......nuff said.

JOEY....excellent captain of the 'MAN HO'S'

RICH has got to be in there ....loved the winter carping posts especially

Clampit for his...er...sense of humour?.....lol

Johnnyb for proposing whilst fishing....then forgetting to take his fishing rods on honeymoon :wallbash:

The list goes on and on.

I am flattered to get a mention, however, there are so many people who contribute way more than me and i sincerely feel everyone who posts on here should get credit for making this site what it is. AND THAT AINT LIP SERVICE!!!!!!!!!

Merry Xmas all
