  1. I'm a big fan of not being tied to any electronic device to live my life. I know that many of you have integrated these devises in your every day lives, some to the point of being completely non functional without your device. I get a good laugh at folks lining up for hours to pay $1k to make a phone call or send a text. We have a number of Apple products here in the house, none of which hold any interest to me. I simply refuse to allow technology to dictate how I live my life. NOW GET OFF MY LAWN!!!!!!! HH
  2. That model seems to lack buoyancy at the most inappropriate times... HH
  3. Fruit Roll Ups the kids eat work great as mice bait. Tear a small piece off, roll it around in your fingers to warm it up, then press it into the trap's bait holder. Once cooled, the fruit roll ups harden and the mice will have to tug on them, to get it off. HH
  4. Closed the pool for the season yesterday... I enjoyed that! HH
  5. It's a contract year for Nazi... if he expects to make 1st or 2nd line centre money, he'd better be more consistent this year. Is he going to be worth Bozak money? Can he play a two way game. Can he win a face-off in his own zone? This will be a make or break year for young Nazi. HH
  6. Fill a squirt gun with vinegar, carry it with you when you are out on walkies. If the sheppard comes at you and your dog again, hit him between the eyes with the squirt gun. HH
  7. Done! Don't worry Simon, we'll walk the dog. HH
  8. Simon, I used to be jealous of Jack, living in that little bit of paradise... now I find myself envious of the dog. Thanks for making my day! HH
  9. GET OFF MY LAWN!!!!! LOL HH
  10. What others have said... get a map and or stay close to the marked channels. Once you have reached the open bay, you can either work left or right and get into some out of the wind spots... but any kind of west wind will make a mess of the river mouth. I found it a tough place to catch fish... but I was there in the heat of the summer a number of years ago, you may have better luck. Also, in the week we were there, I lost at least three days of fishing due to the wind. HH
  11. His eyes look a little blurry in the video... just sayin! HH
  12. Well, with the weather being what it is, the fall frog migration shouldn't be far away and Mr. Pickereye won't be far behind. Thanks for the info Mike, good stuff! HH
  13. Pike bait Brian, they are good for nothing else! LOL Well, I have a full blown case of the "terrapoopa" virus, coursing it's way through my system. I am beginning to hate you Cliff! LOL HH
  14. Sorry for your loss Matt. HH
  15. Nicely put Mike... we still haven't decided if we like you though... And an extra special thanks to Cliff for the coughing, gagging, spewing and snorting that has decided to rear it's ugly head this afternoon... Your the best Cliff! HH
  16. Thanks for the report Cliff! I did not catch a Lamb this weekend. That pic has to be from some time in the past. How did yours taste? Like chicken? HH
  17. Well said Craig! Yet another year lost, fast approaching. HH
  18. Brian, any pool store will have them there for you. They are commonly used to hold vacuum heads or skimmer heads to poles. Check out a pool supply store, but like anything else used in the pool supply world, expect a higher price than a hardware store. HH
  19. Future NASCAR driver? HH
  20. They aren't gonna find any nets up on that rock! HH
  21. Very nice Bernie... did you happen to spot any new shoals while you were up there? HH
  22. It might not be that far in the future before it will be mandatory to be wearing a PFD whenever you are on the water. Listening to the Fish n Canada boys on the radio on the weekend, they were saying that Uncle Katy and her crew at Queens Park are talking about making life jackets mandatory... they must be worn, not just at hand. Hmmm... nanny state or cash grab? HH
  23. He should have turned right. HH
  24. Bring a spare prop! HH
  25. Can't really help with the West Arm, but I was on the French, near Alban, the second week of July and the water levels were at normal seasonal levels. The weed growth at that time was said to be a month behind normal growth. Best guess would be things are more like July up there, than August. Hope that helps. HH
