what song are you listening to right now???

I like their take on this classic. HH -
I am beginning to think that it is high time someone in the league gave Ovechkin a little of his own medicine. How is it that he can hit people with impunity and never gets called on it or suspended? The slash last night and the hit on Leo are just a few of the examples of him being above the law. I hope someone dusts him before he does too much more damage. HH

This is a true story as I was standing right next to my former boss, when it happened. We were having internet connection problems at the office. Bell was our provider. As many know, calling Bell for tech support gets you deep into "Emily" and eventually a call centre in India. Her call was dropped at least three times, by the good folks at Bell, meaning, she was on the phone for more than an hour, trying to get things solved. The final time, the call centre rep asked if he could put her on hold, while he connects with someone else in tech support. Well, having had the call dropped three times already, she wasn't going to have any of that! She told him no, don't put me on hold, you'll lose my call and I'll have to start all over again. His response... "don't worry, we'll be with you till we kill the goat". It did get solved, but I can't recall much after as I was rolling on the floor laughing so hard! HH

Back in their day, the player of this era would play the season out and go home and work the farm for the summer in order to make ends meet. That in it's self surely kept them humble and of the people. Not many do that any more! HH

I've got no problem with anyone keeping a legal musky to eat, as long as they keep the eye balls handy for perchin! HH
-
Drifter, I found that highly entertaining! HH

You, your girl and your Johnson! LOL!!!!! HH

Phones should be left on shore and outta reach... isn't that one of the reasons we all enjoy the sport, to get away from day to day? HH

Well, I broke my shovel this morning! I finished up my drive and headed across the street to do my neighbours driveway as she not capable. I have developed a real hate for interlocking driveways! Dang shovel kept catching the stones while I pushed like heck! Snapped the blade in half! The sun just came out here a few minutes ago, so it won't be long now G. HH

Thanks Simon... I know what I would be doing all day with fishing like that! Yah, I might end up having "hot tongue and cold shoulder" for dinner that night, but I could live with that, with fishin like that! Thanks for posting! HH
-
That was awesome Simon! Sure beats the "snowmageddon" we are getting here today. It was hard to tell what kinda fish that was, any idea? thanks, HH

You must eat a lot of Whitefish Emil! HH

Watching that game last night was like watch grass grow. I can't believe that hockey can be that boring! I'd rather watch my kids pee wee team play! (actually, I would rather watch them play then just about any other team/league!) As the Leafs are essentially out of the playoff hunt, it'll be very interesting to see how management starts to dismantle the team. Given their cap challenges, they are going to have to trade salary for draft picks. Let the re-building begin. HH

It's not the fall, it's the stop! HH

I anyone else wondering why Nonis still has a job? He directly responsible signing/re-signing Kessel, Dion, Gardiner and Clarkson. He got all this talent for a mere $167 million! There are in deep trouble as they have no cap space left and will rely on other teams taking on their salary in a trade or buying out a player at the end of the season. Gonna be along time before we see any fruit from these saplings. HH
-
He's scored one lousy goal in how many games now? He's a minus what!???!!! He's the whipping boy along with a few others because they are the faces of the franchise and the highest paid players. There are performance expectations in every job you can have, hockey is no different. Simply put, he has not performed like his salary dictates he should. But truth be told, I thought it was time to un-load him when he told a COACH who was doing his job, trying to help the team get better, "uhm no, we won't be doing that." So why oh why would anyone on the team listen to the coach, when Phil just shrugs them off? There are so many problems with this team, it's frightening. As a side note, part of my frustration is derived from 47 years of futility. My more recent frustration comes from attending a game in November. Four of us attended as a celebration for my birthday. Those four seats cost just over a grand! Add in dinner, parking and a couple of beers and we are well into the $1,300 range for a night to watch this garbage! So what are all the Leaf fans going to say when MLSE raises their ticket prices next year! LMAO HH
-
Sorry Bill, but I gotta disagree with you on Kessel. the trade that brought him here, made by Burke, has put the Leafs in a hole for the last four years and if he stays, that number will grow. I can't help but feel that he is a bad influence in the dressing room and possibly even worse during games. He can't/won't do what if takes to win, is a complete liability anywhere on the leaf's side of the red line and refuses to get involved in any play that requires a spine. He's their "best player" and I can't help but think he is a bad influence on the younger players. I wouldn't hesitate to trade him for a number one pick and a proven NHL'er. Either way, this team is not going anywhere as it stands. HH

The "horrible stretch" is currently at 47 years and counting. I think that the fans have every right to let the team and ownership know of their disgust. One of the highest ticket prices in the league, highest cost to attend a game and "enjoy" a beer or some food, highest cost for parking, I could go on. Yah, we are suckers here in T.O., always willing to pay pay pay for our "entertainment". It seems that now, folks are finally seeing the light. Lets hope that some smart people start making some decisions over at MLSE, cause history shows us that dumb has ruled that day for far too many years. HH
-
Well, I'm sad because Dion is sad and unhappy with the team's recent accomplishments! HH
-
I stand corrected Roy! Not sure why I thought they were a French company, but according to Snopes, they are headquartered in India. Can't say I have ever been in a store though! HH
-
Target is a French company. Sorry to hear this news, but I figure that given the locations they have established here, another retailer will jump in. Question is, can folks wait for the jobs to come back? HH
-
Uhmmm, Simcoe is anything but dead! HH

It's funny, because some folks love the look and other, not so much! LOL I'd suggest, if you can, take one out for a drive... I bet you'll change your mind! HH PS... I know you're a big guy. I'm 6'3 and about 235 and I have nothing but room not only in the drivers seat, but the second row as well. Can't say I've sat in the third row, but the kids love it back there! Tons of head space that I found lacking in other vehicles.

Went through a similar process last spring. It was time to let the Jimmy go! My wife was quite adamant, no mini van for us! That restricted our search substantially which led us to the Ford Flex. Bought it used (they are very hard to find!) and have had it since the spring. I get about 500km per tank, it rides like a Town Car and has virtually every bell and whistle you can ask for! Seats seven comfortably, every seat folds down, except the drivers seat and will hold a nine foot ladder easily. With full leather upholstery, you feel like your sitting on a fine leather couch as you head on down the road. Any questions, hit me up! HH

Seems as though there were some empty seats last night. Yeah, I know that the seats were sold, but if folks aren't coming to the games, MLSE won't be selling as many $15 beers! That's probably the only way to really get any attention from them! HH
