IMHO, there is a fairly short list of players who I would consider keepers on the current roster; -Bernier -The two kids on defense -Kadri -JVR The rest came be replaced fairly easily... yah, I know it's hard to replace Kessel's offensive output, but his defensive liabilities add up too fast not to consider him available for the right price. The rest of the defensive core is mediocre at best and frankly, getting worse by the game. I expect that the Leafs are going to have a heck of a time getting any free agents to sign here and will in all likelihood, be left picking up whatever leftovers are available after "good teams" have their pick. Ask yourself this question... would you sign with the Sad Sap Leafs? Forty odd years of futility with no end in sight? Upper management in complete disarray. They'll get the dregs, the ones who have no other choice offered to them and this futility will only grow. Yah I know, pretty optimistic eh... that’s what forty odd years of being a fan and watching these guys will do to yah! HH PS... does anyone know if the collective agreement allows for any buy-outs this off season... I got a few ideas on that front as well.

Shanahan seems like a pretty bright guy, why would he even consider joining MLSE? At the end of the day, working for that organization can only result in a tarnished reputation and failure. As far as the Habs go, I just can't see those little guys hangin in with the big hitters, once the real season starts. HH

The "Weed Man" folks have been bad here recently. I believe that they are trained to not accept no as an answer... but there's more. Apparently, the door to door folks get paid "something" if they can get you to agree to a follow-up phone call. They get a little upset when you say no. I've had to close the door in their face a few times already this year. Time to dig the power washer outta the basement! HH

"The passion that unites us", is a great saying... unfortunately the only ones who seem to have bought into it, are the fans. Such a completely dispassionate group of players. If I hadn't already endured decades of futility, I would probably be disappointed, alas; I have grown accustomed to failure. HH

Really interesting thread and thanks to those who have provided insight... Like so many other things in life, it seems to me that money is the driving factor. We have heard here about how money or lack of it has caused so many problems. Then, I think about the multi-billion dollars spent on E-Health with virtually nothing to show for it. I think about the billions spent in this provincve to cancel a project, again, with nothing to show for it. So, it seems to me that there is actually plenty of money to go around, it's just not going around to the right places. That is a government problem, not a "Health Care" problem. HH

Track record of the current MLSE boss says that he does not suffer fools easily. He seems to be a pretty hands on CEO and I bet he's pretty pi$$ed that his company is losing large playoff revenue because of this latest train wreck. None of the "players" in the management group are of his choosing... I expect changes this off season... across the board changes. HH

But did they pay the fine before they left our province? I wonder if the MNR can reach out to out of province offenders to retrieve funds? HH

LLoyd had a better chance at her, then the Leaf's have of making the playoffs... I was sitting there Saturday night and during the 2nd period, I was thinking to myself... Well, I hope they don't make it cause I just can't watch this crap play, especially in the playoffs. I hope Randy doesn't take the hit for this mess. I hope management has the guts to make the changes that need to be made... but who is going to take on the Leaf's dead wood? Should be an interesting off season, starting on Sunday! HH

An armoured vehicle just may be enough to convince poachers th change their ways! Can you imagine a poacher seeing an armed armour vehicle heading right for them? Every movie I've seen where the good guys have one of these, well, it does'nt turn out well for the guys in the vehicle! And as we all know, movies are real!!!! LOL HH
