Thanks Bob, I pretty much always buy my clothes south of the border. Much better selection, sizes that actually fit and generally 50-60% of the price of the same stuff here.
I am a big buy in Canada supporter, but, there is a limit....
Do you want a business phone with data capability or do you want something to play with in your spare time with access to hundreds (thousands) of apps...........where the phone is secondary. How many text messages a day do you send. Can you type on a touch screen or would you prefer a keyboard. Me, I can`t deal with a touch screen and could care less about the zillions of apps..........don`t use `em, but that`s just me, so I like the Blackberry Bold.
I really like them Rob. They take a little getting used to as far as setting the hook..........especially if you are used to hitting them hard. I find that taking up any slack and just leaning into them works and the rest takes care of itself. Main advantage, at least for me is that the incidence of gut hooked and throat hooked fish declines dramatically.
Welcome, this is probably a decent time of the year to sign up.........most of the winternet craziness is gone and a small amount of sanity returns to OFC. We like fishing reports and pics, lots of pics.
Chris,
I had a hollow glass 12' surfcaster from the late 50's or early 60's that I brought over from the UK. In my teens it used to throw 3oz of lead close to 100 yards off the beach in the UK. Brought it out of storage a couple of years ago and paired it with a 7001i. Second cast off the beach in Cape Cod snapped clean in two at the brass ferrule...
Never thought of the deterioration in the glass.
Don't like 2 piece rods, maybe it's just a mind set that I have developed over the years. However, as Lew says, having them come apart at the handle may be a good compromise.
Baitcasters same as spinning reels all the way left handed...yet my trolling reels are right hand retrieve as they only came that way! Can't see the reason for switching hands myself after casting but have lots of friends who do and wouldn't dream of left hand retrieve.
Personal preference............ go with what's comfortable to you.
I quit traditional garage sales a few years ago Cliff as I would have ended up in Jail........ I find, as you, Kijiji once or twice a year works for me and typically nets waaay more $$$$.
