  1. Yep match the receptacle to the Terrova plug
  2. Well you are both old timers compared to us as we are celebrating our 38th in 13 days. We actually usually celebrate it at Lakair.........(quietly). Maybe we will again this year Lew...
  3. Thanks Rich....
  4. Thanks for the kind offer Lew. Will check my work schedule that week...
  5. You guy's are killin' me. First one we will miss in 8 years! Dang weddings they should be banned!
  6. This thread is typical of why many of us, myself included, don't post new threads anymore, either fishing or non-fishing. Rarely does a topic that can have varying opinions get off the first page before someone jumps all over it looking to stir things up. I have made many friends on this board, many of whom are still around, some who have decided that they would quietly rather become lurkers and some sadly who are gone altogether. This is still a good place to be IMHO, BUT, some of us are making it increasingly difficult for me to click on the OFC bookmark in the morning.
  7. Welcome aboard, nice King.........
  8. Warm congrat's Simon. Accomplishments to be proud of!
  9. You guys are starting to make me feel nostalgic.......Used to fish dozens of spots like that in my teens with an UL 5' rod a 2 1/2" fly reel loaded with 2# line and a size 16 eyeless hook and a tiny redworm.
  10. Great offer Dan, good on ya!......
  11. Birds love sprinklers so you will probably attract more than you scare. As for fake owl's............I put one up a few years ago, it worked for a few days and then when they figured it out they used it as a pooping perch, it was completely white in a week. 60% peat moss, 40% top soil and rake the seed into it lightly and water it twice a day usually works. Buy good seed it pays off.
  12. Welcome aboard. Not sure this would be a destination lake for most on this board unless you have a cottage there. Small lake but appears to have a healthy population of most sought after species. Google is your friend....
  13. I use a 7001 Abu for larger bucktails and I don't have big hands. Price is right and it does the job.
  14. It's called phase transformation........for example, I can buy steel in China, wind it from one coil into another and a small amount of additional processing...... and call the resulting product "Made in Canada".
  15. Pete my heart would be with the French or maybe the West Arm but my head would steer me to the Kawarthas. As many say pretty central to everything, good hospitals in the area and I would only be 2 or 2 1/2 hrs from my kids and grand kids. Wanna go 50/50 on a compound?
  16. Glad you all had a good time guys and gal...............sorry I couldn't be there due to family commitments J...
  17. Keep me in mind guys, I'll make the drive in a heartbeart to fish with a fellow Limey!
  18. Going to be a miss for us too this year....
  19. Police just shot ( hour or two ago) a bear in Mountainside Park in Burlington. Unfortunate and sad, in my humble opinion.....don't beat me too bad guys I know some of you have differing thoughts.
  20. Thanks Simon for the nice tribute and the memories. Both Moms are gone now but they are still dear to our hearts. As Wayne said they are all celebrating with Angel cake and looking down on us smiling...
  21. Sounds like a perfect weekend Hope you had a great one Art.. J...
  22. Have a great day Joey, Happy Birthday and an awesome Mothers Day... J...
  23. I am biased as Cannon, Humminbird, Minnkota companies are clients of mine. My choice based on service, price and overall usability would be Scotty though.......don't tell anyone.
  24. Joe, in general terms I agree with you 100%. Nothing frustrates me more than a radar trap pulling car after car for 25 or 30 over and completely ignoring the idiots who tailgate, weave in and out and put the rest of our lives and those of our loved ones in danger. It's easier.........that simple. But, jedimaster, what about the person at a stoplight texting away? They are in most cases completely oblivious to what it going on around them and the fact that their vehicle is in "drive" and their foot on the brake completely absent from their mind. How much lack of concentration does it take to relax the foot on the brake and run over the person crossing in front of you......or texting away as the light turns green and someone behind you lays on the horn.......you stomp on the gas and run into the car in front........seen it more than once. Is the act of picking up a text message or IM at a stoplight dangerous, YES, absolutely no question about it. I have clients all over the world, some of whom want to tear off a piece of my a$$ at the most inconvenient time. Do i talk on the phone in the car, absolutely, fully hands free with auto answer, but I never answer an IM or text in the car whether I am stationary or moving. I am of the opinion that there is a huge difference.
